2.6 pounds total. Definitely all metal OK, after hours of research, I know a lot of what your dagger is NOT, but very little about what it is. I've ruled out so many different tribal and ancient designs that I'm beginning to feel that you may have something unique, special, and possibly archaeological. I suspect that it may be some sort of ceremonial dagger.
So, until you sort out what you have, I'm going to assume that you have discovered the Atlantean sacrificial dagger that La of Opar carried in the Tarzan books.

Looks like casted bronze or brass hilt and sheath with iron or steel blade. The hilt looks like a mixture of so called "antenna hilts" and "anthropoid hilts". Those hilts were typical for Celtic iron age but the known Celtic hilts look different. Esp. the part where the blade goes into the hilt isn't Celtic style afaik. My first thought was "India" and after some time of thinking I have no better idea. Tiimooo... Timo Nieminen

I’ve done quite a bit of looking as well, and researching. And I can’t seem to find anything that comes close to this design. It is really cool to own something so unique, but frustrating to know nothing about its history. Atlantian would certainly be cool, lol. I have some friends that own an antique store me about an hour from me. They have a lot of connections with different types of experts, so next time I’m down at their shop I’m gonna carry this along and see if they have anyone that can help. But you guys have certainly helped me out a lot in just knowing that I’m not a complete idiot. I’ve never had to spend so much time researching anything in my life. I’ll look into your other suggestions as well. Thanks again guys
