I mean if a feller already has 2 or 3 guns and 10 magazines for each and 1000 rounds per caliber, why would a rational person stand in line with a bunch of sickly people to buy more?
The question is, do you have enough honing oil to sharpen all your sharpies...

It must take a LOT of ammo to shoot all those individual virus particles :)

November 25, 2020 update.
No 20ga buckshot anywhere to be found.
I stocked up on HG, SG (12ga) and Rifle prior to the lightbringer coming to office (2008). The putative 2020 attempted communist takeover of the USA has made things critical. Kinetic response to commie shock forces (BLM, ANTFIA) comming.

That set you back a few pennies. Do they have any 124 gr FMJ NATO/+p left? Don't need the 5.56 since I use a real rifle

That set you back a few pennies. Do they have any 124 gr FMJ NATO/+p left? Don't need the 5.56 since I use a real rifle If things ever get serious, I too use a real rifle! I was able to get this thru a friend who runs a police supply company that has a direct relationship with PMC, hence the 5.56/.223/9mm. I CCW 9mm and shoot a couple IDPA matches a month using 9mm. When I train rifle, I typically will use an M4; its quicker, lighter and doesn't bang up the steel like 7.62 NATO. From what I can see, PMC has not increased its pricing at all to its dealers/distributors so I assume all the manufacturers are doing the same. The big price increases are occurring between the distributors --->retailer --->consumer. I got this ammo all at pre pandemic pricing and was able to see the dealer cost which appears to still be pre pandemic pricing as well. It was still almost $4500 for the lot. All this does is bring my stocks back up near my pre pandemic levels. I would have preferred Winchester and Federal as those are my preferred brands but ya gotta take what you can get these days. I like to have a LOT of ammo and this is just a fraction of what I like to have on hand. If the opportunity ever presents itself, I intend to reestablish feudalism in So. 20 gauge buck is a very good HD ammo, plus the low cost of pump shotguns means you can always have a dedicated house gun, always loaded and always ready. If you have the same size pellet at the same velocity you get the same penetration as 12 gauge. The difference is in the number of pellets and 20 ga. has plenty for close up. www.theboxotruth.com/the-box-o-truth-22-20-gauge-shotgun/

People always panic buy ammo. It's been going on for the last 30 years. Everytime something happens. If the zombie apocalypse comes I'd have more of a tough time deciding on which rifle to lug around. The COVID-19 vaccines are enigeered to cause/create the zombie apocalypse. By firearms, ammunition, bows and arrows, crossbows and bolts and swords while you can. 😹😹😹😹 **This statement in no way expresses the actual belief of the poster. It is purely for satirical humour. Or at least an attempt at the humour part.**

It didn't help the ammo shortage when Remmington went under and their Arkansas ammo plant was shut down. Vista Outdoor Corp. (Federal & CCI) bought the Remington ammo division and plans to re-open the plant soon under the Remington banner.

I'm down to my last 5 pallets of 7.62x54r and 16 crates of 9x18 MAK. I won't even mention the 11 spam cans of 7.62x25 TOK left in my inventory. Things are looking grim indeed

You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man (not me ) who was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel. By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is considered "mentally unstable. BUT…
-In Michigan, he'd be called "the last white guy still living in Detroit." -In Arizona, he'd be called "an avid gun collector. -In Arkansas, he'd be called "a novice gun collector." -In Utah, he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food. -In Kansas, he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend." -In Montana, he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy." -In Idaho, he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate." -In Georgia, he'd be called "an eligible bachelor." -In North Carolina, Virginia, WV, Mississippi, Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama and Minnesota he would be called "a deer hunting buddy." AND, OF COURSE, -In Tennessee, he'd just be "a guy who's a little short on Ammo."

At one time I had a gym bag full of ammunition. That thing was very heavy. I am surprised that the straps did not break. Or my shoulder and back for that matter.

I can definitely relate to the Great Ammo Recession of 2020. Even now, finding ammo these days is becoming increasingly difficult. I have also noticed the disappearance of ammo from stores and online sellers. I went to buy some bulk FMJ ammo yesterday on Midway, but the site kept crashing. I understand your frustration. It's definitely reminiscent of 2008, but hopefully, it's not as severe this time.Although, I hope you have found some ammo in stock by now. If not, you can try checking out midcitygunshop.com/product/45-70-brass-in-stock/ for in-stock ammo.

The ammo shortage in South Texas is largely over. Some specialty ammo is still unobtainable like 40-44, and .357 is still a little tricky to get (That's getting better though) but .45 long colt, 9mm, and .223 are easy for me to get now.
