Every one of us here is mature enough and smart enough to recognize dog-whistle racism. Especially the "whistlers."
Thank you to the mods for having good ears!

I learned my lesson after my first temporary suspension last month. No politics means no politics, even good politics. So I will not be breaking those rules again.

Headlines from elsewhere “MSNBC’s Jean-Pierrez: Trump Calling Coronavirus a Chinese Virus is ‘Dangerous’ Racism”. So what is racism other than something people carry too far or use as a catch-all phrase? I'm not understanding the question you are asking, but associating a virus with a specific group of people is a dangerous and bigoted practice. I remember the 1980s, when AIDS was considered a "dirty" disease, only spread among drug addicts and gay men. Such a sentiment is abhorrent. It was then, and it is now. I think the Presidents statement ("Chinese Virus"...petty and counter productive IMO) is more Nationalism rather than racism, as it was a dig at the abhorrent charge by the Chinese Communist govt. that the virus was started by the United States military. Blaming or fingering a race of people for this pandemic would be sickening and illogical as it is nature and humans interaction with that is the cause. Names of diseases are given for many reasons, usually geography but that isn't always the case (Legionnaires, Spanish Flu, etc...).

Don't see what the big deal is. Rules are rules if you can't live with them then seek life elsewhere.
