I'm at Southern California Swordfight at the Albion booth with Albion COO Mike Seligman and his wife Bonnie. Anyone interested in anything in the following photos ( except the Vigil and the Huskarl which I bought) pm me and I can act as your agent...
Ahh... Principe! What is he asking for this at the booth? Just self-torturing curious...
Right now $1450 which is retail list it think. Today is the first day of a three day event so I doubt there will be any discounting until late Sunday afternoon. Let me know, I'd be happy to help it find a new home with you ....
Today is my only day here but I have his phone number and can meet him Sunday afternoon to help a fellow SBG member spend their money.
There won't be any discounts on Sunday. The only thing Albion offers at their shows is free shipping on orders place with Mike for 'to be built' orders.
Correct. I just said my goodbyes and asked. Mike said no discounts on show blades. Considering the waiting list they have it's no surprise. I consider the immediate gratification to far outweigh a discount.
Just out of curiosity. Do they only sell the ones they have on hand at shows?
or do they take ones back they did not sell and you can get it when they return back to Wisconsin if you wanted one they still had on hand?
I did not ask that but he tells me that there is a 1000 sword backlog so I suspect there is a waiting customer for anything that goes back. He has sold almost all the Maestro line of blunt reenactment swords he took as well as number of the "sharp" Next Gen and Squire line swords. I personally saw five NextGen swords sold while I was there.
legacyofthesword: LK Chen swords arrived yesterday. Review incoming (hopefully I'll have it done this weekend).

RufusScorpius: Satellite GPS plot of Christain's property, enter into the Automatic Geometry Guidance and resurface and re-slope his entire property. Then spray it with that green seed mix from a high pressure hose. Should take 20 minutes for the whole job.

RufusScorpius: Oh man, you let slip my gimmick. And I was going to do it by remote piloting using GPS data mapping
Feb 20, 2020 23:15:36 GMT
treeslicer: Rufus, why do I get this picture of you, in armor, driving some piece of air-conditioned heavy equipment you borrowed from the local railroad, scraping Christain's lawn down to bare dirt, then scattering gravel ballast all over it?
Feb 20, 2020 23:11:27 GMT
RufusScorpius: I made you a promise I would cut your grass in armor and I fully intend to keep it. I just can't promise a time. But it's gonna happen.
Feb 20, 2020 11:28:49 GMT
christain: I think Spring is gonna come early this year, so there'll be plenty of time for mower-jousting.
Feb 20, 2020 8:46:00 GMT
christain: Come and help me MOW my grass in your Roman gear!-------
Feb 20, 2020 8:38:25 GMT
RufusScorpius: Primarily for MOW. Operator training, mechanics, track structure and geometry, hydraulics, electric, PLC, and so forth.
Feb 20, 2020 2:22:01 GMT
Scott: RufusScorpius what sort of training?
Feb 20, 2020 1:16:30 GMT
RufusScorpius: Canada is on my short list of countries to conquer. I'll bring my hakama and long underwear for sure.
