For me it is a custom motohara kinda like this one. I also love this German branch longsword.

Lend me $5,000,000 plus another half million in incidental costs, and I'll be forever in your debt.

I'll take one of treeslicers pick. Damn that's a nice sword. But I have always been a sucker for a simple hamon so my dream is an also unrealistic Go Yoshiro blade. Image from: yuhindo.com/go-yoshihiro/

This is my dream sword. First generation French m1822 (1817) Heavy Cavalry Officer’s Saber - the “Bancal.” Condition is worn, but solid and well preserved. Thanks to a very kind SBG forumite, it is now mine mine mine all mine. 😁 You could buy a literal ton of them - thousands of ‘em - for the price of a national treasure nihonto. Nonetheless, this is the one I wanted. One day it will belong to my son. Who knows, he might even prize it as I do, and pass it on down the generations. 😎

I used to think I knew the answer to this, but the more I looked the less certain I became. For me, to be a "dream sword," it would have to be something I would sell my whole collection to obtain, and never want another sword again. I have yet to find such a sword, and I do enjoy some variety in my collection.

Mine is the sword of Danu, as it's based on my own art

Still upset I didn't have a chance to pick one up. There was one for sale on here. Not sure if it’s sold yet.

Used to be the Albion Oakeshott but just this past week I've been thinking of selling it for a couple of non-sword items (AND a few sword items haha). Also some of the stuff from the Polish smiths just looks so wonderful. The sabers from Tomek Kowmal especially.
