Best thing is the handle is not round, but has a quite nice tsuka-like shape instead, me thinks. OAL 107 cm, blade length 76,5 cm. Had ordered from two different vendors, in case one was slow on shipping – which turns out to be true. But one is secure and waiting for its master to put hands on. Hope you’ll not hate it too much. Good news! Or bad, depending on the point of view. If I had to use a simulator that was fundamentally different from what I am used to, then I would have yet another excuse for poor performance. Such as it is, I can't blame the sword The length sounds about right, so no complaints there. I will certainly be glad to use it, but it will have to wait for somebody else to be its "master". I am happy, though, that it has a correct shaped handle. That will be very good when we get to exchanging techniques. The shape of the tsuka has specific functions and is used for more than just a grab handle- we can go over that when I get there. Ah! Only another day and a half and I take the big white bird across the pond.... Brushing up on my Deutsch... "Ich spreche schlechtes Deutsch"....oder "Mein Deutsch ist Scheisse" Either should get me by for a while... |

Lol, just keep using the second option and no one will recognize you as being foreign to the Ruhrgebiet. Super happy to meet you, looking forward a lot to this. If we’re lucky, the Hanwei Kouga Ninja-to I just ordered will get here before, too. Would be great to get to know your impressions first hand. Any way, it’ll be super fun. Have a good journey, I already know where/when to pick you up. And you got my number. |

I would like to see the ninja-to, but if not- I'm sure you have a few other toys for me to play with Times a-coming soon. Got my boarding pass downloaded and doing the final pack-out. This time tomorrow I'll be waiting at EWR for the Lufthansa bird to take me to the Old Country. |

"American fighter". Indeed. As if my mouth hasn't already bragged enough with grandiose nonsense, now I represent a whole country. I'm hoping to get just one hit in before I get wasted Boromir style. None the less, I will cash the check that I wrote with my mouth.

I say "American Fighter" with the outmost respect, really.
...Now the news say that we have a huge hurricane coming towards Germany, what makes it all even more interesting. It gets worst on Sunday, and all schools in Essen are officially closed on Monday, too. I hope your flight gets through well – and also the trains. Not quite sure how bad it really gets. What I do know is that as soon as we’re together, we’ll get everything managed. My home is your home. Bought a spare toothbrush today, just in case.
