I am curious as to what types of swords this community favors with ownership. Please select all that you currently own by Oakeshott type. I understand that just as many historical artifacts don't always cleanly fall into the Oakeshott typology, many modern reproductions do not either so your best guess is all I ask. Any comments as to manufacturer and model as well as why you favor one type over the other would be interesting as well. As always photos of your sword /collection are welcome.

Their are a lot more Oakeshott type XVIIIb owners than I would have thought. It doesn't strike me as the type of blade which would be broadly popular. My second one will be the Albion Munich some of you have probably noticed me PATIENTLY waiting for.

Yes I,think we have all noticed your "patience" and I think most of us feel complete empathy for you as well. We have all "been there done that " at some point, and most not for a sword as nice as the Munich.

I am going to have to practice patience as well. I was going back and forth on the Munich and a similar Damian Sulowski piece and I decided to go ahead with ordering a gothic, blackened Munich a few hours ago. I am sure yours will be here before mine of course. I can see a comparison thread in the future! Congrats! We should maybe start another thread / poll to see what the average wait time is for an Albion sword ... Better yet, we should have pools on what week the sword will arrive...could be fun and profitable.

Whatever the agincourt is??? It would depend who made it. Technically it would be a type XVa I think but. A lot of makers have put the name Agincourt on. A number of sword models with blades other than a type XVa. myarmoury.com/feature_spotxv.html

I checked XVI for my Battlecry Agincourt, fuller, diamond cross section. I admit I first checked XVIa but looked it up again and changed.

Pretty much have one of everything, except a couple a's and b's, and the XX--XXII. Those later groups are kind of hard to come by, unless I'm missing something. (the typology itself can be kind of vague sometimes. I'd have to check again to make sure)
I have quite a few favorite swords, most of them are XVIIIa's, b's, and c's. Probably a X, XII, and a XIV in there, too.

I'm honestly surprised at the number of xiv showing up. I'd expected xii to be more represented.
