I wonder if I could use this as an excuse to get one past TSA?

A sword won't go to the corner store for a pack of smokes and never come home.

A therapy sword will never give you up. It will never let you down
I've concluded that Rick Astley is a therapy sword

Remember not to sleep with your therapy sword it could hurt you Unless you are Angelina Jolie. She sleeps with knives on her bed. I just keep it to a single knife.

And the nicer the blade purchased, the worst the day must have been.

Having just seen an article on proposed changes to "emotional support animals", I now think this is the perfect opportunity for emotional support swords. Heck, let's just skip ahead to "emotional support c4"- it blows up so you don't!

Does any one else legit feel better after a bad day when you hold a sword or knife? Not in like, an edgy angry way, but your mood just lifts a bit?
Sometimes I feel like I have no idea why I love the things so much.

Sometimes I feel like I have no idea why I love the things so much. Oh, absolutely. Admiring a folded steel blade and oiling it is a nice way to just take 10/15 min to relax, chill, and appreciate something you enjoy. Folded patterns in steel are very interesting and calming to me as well, and admiring the way hamon flow as well is enjoyable. Even just enjoying a well-crafted set of koshirae can lift my mood quite a bit.
Whenever I don't get my swordplay in for more than a day or two, my productivity TANKS. I'm reliant on swordplay to keep me going, apparently. There's something so nice, calming and enjoyable about practicing with katana at night. Especially when the stars and moon are out. Nice and zen. Oh, and a bout of jian with the morning/afternoon tea is also a great way to boost mood.

I adore the way a greased up blade feels pressed up against my naked @#$*1 and when I rub its &^*@+= all over with my ?,8%*%, it just makes me blow my )";&!$3 all over the place. They're also cool looking, and it's fun to cut stuff.

I find that polishing katana is great therapy, as is crafting fittings. Blade and (authentic) koshirae appreciation time is delightful as well.

I'm reminded that I want to have a custom claymore made with "Front Toward Enemy" translated into Scots Gaelic inscribed on the blade.

And by lovingly pressing and sliding your sword up all over different parts of your anatomy, you can enjoy both parts of the hobby simultaneously!
