Hello everybody! I’m fairly new to this and I was hoping if you guys knew of any fairly affordable Tibetan items I could purchase, and where would be the best place to look. While swords and knives are fantastic, I also love libation bowls, ritual horns, basically any Tibetan (Or Nepali or Bhutanese, for that matter) items. If you guys know anything like this or where the best place to look would be, I’d be happy to listen! As always, thank you!

I'm not sure if they'll have what you're looking for, but anytime someone mentions "Tibetan", it makes me think of Amdo Craft ( www.amdocraft.com/en/). It's a company that sells hand crafted items which are made by Tibetan nomads from the sheep and yak wool of their herds. I've bought slings from them a couple times and some scarves on another occasion. Like I said, this doesn't sound exactly like what you're looking for, but thought it was worth mentioning. They do make nice stuff.

That sounds fantastic! Thank you for telling me about it, that sounds amazing! Thank you! Am I reading the prices wrong? Everything seems ridiculously well priced, and that’s really good! Are the Items made in Tibet? I know that’s a difficult question to answer since there are so many definitions for Tibet, but it would seem that they’re made in an Ethno-Linguistically Tibetan region.

You're not seeing it wrong. The prices are pretty fantastic. Shipping can get a little expensive, but we just need to live with that. :) Everything is made in Tibet. This video is a bit old, but you can see how this company came about, . It's a pretty great story.

Those slings look nice, how are they to use? I like them a lot. They're braided wool, so they do have a little stretch to them. They are especially fun for slinging snowballs when the weather is appropriate. Are you a slinger?

Can you get the clothing in different sizes? I’m very interested in the Tibetan Coat, although I don’t see any sizes anywhere.

I wouldn't call myself a slinger, I made a few years ago but haven't done anything for years. I'm hoping to make a an petrie sling and get back into it, time is the issue there.

I think it has actual semi precious gems in it from what I read (Turquoise) so that may be one of many reasons it is higher? Not quite sure.
