Jeri even better today, she knows I am there, breathing on her on most of the time. Can't talk because of the breathing tube in her mouth and down her throat. But is asking when she will get out, didn't like telling her it will be several weeks.

May the Lord watch over and keep you both. As said before---you are a vital part of this community. You HAVE TO be here.....for US. All best wishes, and a speedy recovery for your lady. I will say a prayer by the sword.

I've been following everything on Facebook since it happened. Your wife sounds like a real fighter. I hope she pulls through. Stay strong, Driggers.

Had a set back today, last night they removed the breathing tube and turned off the ventilator. Jeri did well for about 10 hours, then stopped breathing, this caused her heart to stop. They got her going again, and back on the ventilator, for right now she is ok and still awake. Tomorrow they are going to do the Tracheotomy they said it might be 8 weeks before she can breath on her on, but maybe sooner.

I have been watching your posts regarding your wife and you have been in my thoughts and I do hope that she improves enough to go home sooner than expected. I wanted to say to stay strong, but you are already doing that.

Jeri is dong a lot better she looked a lot better and was alert today. Can't talk because of the Trach but she tries, I am no good at reading lids. They did a CT on her today there might be a hole in her esophagus going into her wind pipe. This could of happened when they put the breathing tube in the first time. could be part of the problem why she's having so much trouble brathing on her on. She is still on the ventilator, have no idea how long she will be on it, could be a couple of weeks could be 8 weeks or more.

Tomorrow they are going to run a camera down into her lungs to check for any blockages and try to clean out her lungs. Hopefully they won't find any problems. When they said look for masses it scared me.

When they said look for masses it scared me. We haven't spoken before, but as someone who has been through similar challenges I know how unbearable the stress of waiting for scary tests, and being at the hospital for weeks or months on end can be. All I can say is what my wife said to me last time I was in a similar place. "When your going through Hell. Keep Going." (There's a card somewhere that has that quote on it). I wish you the best and hope things keep moving forwards in positive ways. Brad

Just a quick up date, Jeri is doing a lot better very alert able to write messages now. She is breathing on her on most the time now. The ventilator is set on assist now. Still has an inflection, hopefully they will get it knocked out soon. Jeri said in a week they upgrade her and get out of the ICU. Still going to be on the feeling tube and breathing tube for about 3 to 4 weeks. They are not going to have to do surgery to repair the hole in her esophagus, it will heal on it's on.
