Hamsters had no natural enemies before the invention of the vacuum cleaner. Or Richard Gere. Dude, that’s just wrong. Lol

Just get rid of the cat XD For me, I never could. She's my buddy, despite being a pain in butt sometimes. :)

We have a running joke in my family that Cornelius "doesn't know how to cat."

remember to hide the food/mice right before bed, just so they dont get eaten early... And maybe leave one in an obvious place so kitty knows to hunt for more...

That's weird. Maybe our cats have a common ancestor. I've been told the same thing. One example is on grocery shopping days when I get home from work, I let the cat out and she follows me down the sidewalk and then back to the house while I carry stuff up. My neighbor once said, "That cat follows you around like a dog."

Yep, Cornelius is the same way. Follows me around everywhere. He was a 3 year old shelter cat when we adopted him. Not sure what his life was like before but I'm assuming a pretty rough one. He has a couple of broken teeth and scars that have since healed.

you know, high plains drifter spent most of her life on her own, feral. i started feeding her to get her to live in my coyote proof garden, just to extend her life. but when she started following me around i knew she loved me.
that's when she negotiated her way into the house.
