They sell it for 75$. Crudely said, looks like a piece of crap to me. Get what you pay for.
Alloy tsuba fuchi/kashira, plastic same, non-alternating tsuka maki, shoelace ito and sageo, blade looks painted over, could be bad electroplating, likely will wear off with use.
Wouldn't touch with a ten feet pole.

I heard a fellow who bought it saying the so called “Damascus” wore off with use so I’m assuming it is just false advertising.

This reminds me of my first blade ever from about 17 years ago now, it was a 60 dollar "ninjato", stainless steel with an attachment at the end of the tsuka that allowed for it to be screwed on to the other end of the scabbard to make a makeshift "naginata" polearm. Lol, those were the days.
Was an absolute garbage blade and I'm glad it never shattered on me, gave it away to some prick I'm not even friends with anymore and he probably tossed it by now. Should have kept the blade, it was already blunted from years of abuse would have made a great practice tool.

I am thinking of giving my stainless steel display to my cousin as his father won’t let him have a sharp and it is still a cool wall hanger. I have tried it for iaido practice but it doesn’t have nearly the same feel as my carbon steel blades so it kinda throws me off lol.

Someone once gifted me with a "Damascus katana" a long time ago (before I started actually training) the fittings were crap, the blade was dull and clumsy. The only redeeming point was the samegawa was (cheap) real. I stripped the sword down and took the same for a project. I'd would always stay away from Damascus if you plan on using it for anything other than a wall hanger

Just quick draw, I have not looked at any particular style yet. Any advice on one?

As ignorance shines through once more. You're seriously not helping. If drive-by snarking is all you can do, please just leave well enough alone.

I did not know you were learning iaido. What style? Just quick draw, I have not looked at any particular style yet. Any advice on one? Don't know if you have the possibility to train it near you, but maybe try Meirin Mugai - Ryu? I'm training it and I like it very much since it is, as weird as it sounds, peaceful. Edit: a typo

I never knew iaido had different styles. Yes, it has many. Without getting too deeply into it for the moment, IMHO, the most useful for beginners in the USA is Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, and it is best described and explained in the book Flashing Steel. The second edition with the yellow cover is the one you want.

I completely second treeslicer 's recommendation. Flashing Steel is a great primer on Eishin-Ryu iaido and deserves a spot on any swordsman's bookshelf. 2nd Ed. is great
