Well I'm a chef by schooling and job so I use a lot of knives and a few weeks ago I put a chip in my very expensive santuku. Although I have other chefs knives I decieded to get a new one and found one on ebay. Says it was made by Cutlery Salvation is full tang and the blade is 8 inches long damascus. BTW it does cot very well. Not bad for 19.00 bucks if it ever does break.

Good luck with it maybe it won't come a part and hold a edge.

For the crummy $19.00 who cares if it comes apart but it feels very solid so I'm not worried about that. I bought it because I dropped my $300.00 Chinese Santuku and put a a small chip in the blade. I may have to send it back to the Manuf in China to regrind. I still have my Henkels and the semi decent knifes the Art Institute gave me plus the ones in the restaurant so no worries. I think I was more concerned about the looks of the Ebay knife especially at that price point. Santuku

Doesn't look like a santoku, but a kama-usuba. Is it single-bevel (in which case it's a kama-usuba) or double-bevel? Who is the manufacturer?

How's that knife holding up, I just bought one from them and can't wait to use it. Haven't been cooking much lately because all my stuff is in storage since i had to move to a smaller place.
