I have a couple of stains on my sword, that i have not been able to get out! Im not sure how they got there in the first place, (probably my son used it on something) but definitely were not there before. I have tried break free CLP, a scrubbing pad and multiple uses of the polishing paste (paste that rubs off some of the metal) for not much effect.. (at least a half hour of applying and rubbing off the paste) Anything else someone can think of that might work? Probably another 2 hours of using polishing paste might work..but was wondering if anything else i could try! Thanks!

Continuing with metal polish may do it eventually. If you feel that you are getting nowhere with the polish try a more aggressive approach with sandpaper. Use a wet/dry paper with a light oil, WD-40 is good. I’d start with a fine paper increasing the grit size until you are getting the results you want. With oil the paper shouldn’t leave scratches but after you remove the stains and not satisfied with the finish start reversing the grit size until you get the desired finish. You might want to use a block as not to round off well defined edges.
