Does the Cold Steel Italian longsword have a convex edge grind?
I thought that it did, but I have seen it described online as hollow ground, this threw me, as I was sure that i knew the difference between these edge types.
Also, for anyone who has handled both, how does the Cold Steel Italian Longsword compare to the Hanwei Tinker Longsword?

I had one (non maa version) and it was pretty much a flat grind from spine to edge. Definitely not hollow ground.
The edge was about paper cutting sharp and cut pretty well with some touch up work.
Ive handled both and id say i like the h/t longsword's handling more. Both are pretty light, fast and maneuverable but i feel that the h/t has just a slightly more authoritative feel in the cut. The pommel of the h/t is also more comfortable if you like to hold that part

What type of edge grind does it have? Flat? Convex?

He did it by hand so the edge geometry shouldnt have changed much If im not mistaken, this one has a slightly convex blade geometry but the edge angle is still nice and acute. It handles tatami just fine.
