This started on another thread but I thought it deserved its own thread. Ok boys and girls, you think politics and religion are controversial, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Which do you prefer. Strictly crunchy for me with one exception. Reece’s peanut butter cup. That’s gotta be smooth. Let the peanut butter flame wars begin!🥜🔥😎
Darn, I trained for the Third World War, but what I got was War in the Third World. "Specialization is for insects" -- Robert A. Heinlein “Do not draw, do not force others to draw. Do not cut, do not force others to cut. Do not kill, do not be killed. Even if one encounters the greatest of sinners, one should kindly offer sermon and show them the path of good men. If the worst occurs and they do not conform, then without hesitation apply kesagiri and send them to Buddha.”
When I was in school----YEARS AGO----We had a day of different food in the lunch cafeteria. One day was hamburgers, one day was casserole, one day was fried chicken. But ONE DAY...they would serve beef stew, and along with this bowl of stew would be a CREAMY PB sandwich. I don't know the brand, but it was pretty generic. BUT IT WAS SO GOOD. I'd go around the cafeteria getting peoples uneaten sandwiches, and i'd be king for a day!
While I started to say it makes no difference I noticed when I bought a jar I’d normally reach for the crunchy. Peanut butter is not that popular here but there are usually a few jars on the shelf. It’s all imported, so expensive. You might say that if I don’t have the one I like, I like the one I have.
AndiTheBarvarian: Yes we learn, that's why the Imperium Romanum is known nowadays. Why erase it when it's still lucrative? Those loricae sell like hot cakes!

RufusScorpius: I didn't know barbarians could learn things? Interesting, but you are half Roman on your father's side. Veii was the last Etruscan town conquered by the Romans, then erased from every public record. We only know about it from the Greeks.

AndiTheBarvarian: Veii? Of course we Barbarians know the history of the empires we conquered!
Oct 14, 2020 19:49:48 GMT
RufusScorpius: All that remains is the memory, and we will soon take care of that as well. Remember the town of Veii? Yah, most people don't either.

AndiTheBarvarian: The only remains are the grins without the enemies!

RufusScorpius: A Noisy Cricket is a gun that your enemies laugh at once.... just once.....

AndiTheBarvarian: Size does matter! We know this from Star Trek, the smaller the phaser is the more powerful it is. Those small types from early NG desintegrated people, the RPG sized later ones just hurt a bit.

RufusScorpius: Love to have a noisy cricket. Don't know why it wasn't liked by Smith's character in the movie except that it didn't look cool. But a pistol that can fit in your front pocket that can blow holes through walls.... hell ya!

Dandelion: Noisy Cricket, anyone? ;-)

Brother Nathaniel: oddj, until then though they have to stick to the sling. It was good enough for king David after all.

AndiTheBarvarian: I love the smell of antiprotons in the morning! Oh, wait, that isn't the morn...

RufusScorpius: I prefer the phase plasma rifles in the 40w range.

oddj: once we get lasguns, the amish is allowed to use the older powder driven guns, like the UZI and other brrrpppp guns.
Oct 12, 2020 15:23:40 GMT
RufusScorpius: Actually the Mennonites came before the Amish. The Amish split off from the Mennonites. Even some Amish orders use cars and modern tech. It depends on the rules of the order they belong to.
Oct 12, 2020 14:17:54 GMT
Jordan Williams: reading on the different orders of Mennonites, interesting, I wonder if the sorts around here are the Kathleen's people origin
Oct 11, 2020 22:50:45 GMT
Jordan Williams: Wouldn't the Amish be the old order and the Mennonites more new, since the latter can use tech and motors? I know the local Mennonites dress traditionally, and are quite modest in their interactions at least so far as I have seen at my jobs, butstill have
Oct 11, 2020 22:45:17 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: Can the old orders use a traditional bow at least?
Oct 11, 2020 19:54:05 GMT
RufusScorpius: It depends on which order the Mennonite belongs to. Old orders don't believe in using guns, mor modern orders use whatever is needed, But never against people
Oct 11, 2020 13:09:32 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: If Mennonites have guns wouldn't they technically have to be muskets and such?
