Hello,
I’m brand new to sword buying. I’m looking to pick up a first sword and one like to get a hand and a half sword. All of my research so far has pointed towards the Albion Crecy as a solid first choice but they have over a year wait and scabbards cost about as much as the sword itself.
I was wondering can you guys recommend something that has a much shorter wait time (I’m not very patient) and possibly includes a scabbard for around $1000 max? I want something sharp, durable and it wouldn’t hurt if its is cool looking.
Thank you.

You can try looking into Valiant Armoury. They're good quality blades that include a really nice scabbard and are mostly under the 1k$ mark; VA's got a bit of a backlog at the moment, though, and won't be accepting new orders for certain models until they get caught up, so no telling when they'll be more available.

I’d be ok with something more budget. You guys are the experts. I was just thinking buy once cry once.

I own the Valor (albeit with a Chinese blade). Sonny's cutlery work is very nice... The hilt is nicely done and the assembly is secure. The scabbard lacks a hand-made feel, but is extremely nice by production scabbard standards. I find the suspension to be wanting and wound up doing my own.

How does your Agincourt compare to your thousand dollar swords? Have you lost a lot of money reselling your thousand dollar swords?

Yes I have I have sold plenty of 1K plus blades and lost lots of money. The Agincourt is still pretty nice compared to them. *Like I say to others like you, do not try to look cool. Your only cool in your own head.*
