saw these on sale. first I bought the dojo pro 1060th at 65 dollars. Gotta say wow! Very impressed with every detail! Incredible bargain! A little bit of rattle in the Saya, but that's it. I saw the Ryujin, 65MN Wakizashi, again on sale for 75 dollars - grabbed one. I gotta say the steel is pretty! Appears to be very tough. The attention to detail on the fittings, well there was none. The end cap or kashira I believe - wasn't attached. The Ito wrap was undone and coming off. I could see two quarter inch gaps in the wood of the handle on both sides. The blade was not fitted to the wood. The Saya rattles like crazy, and the sword falls out if held at an angle. Again 75 dollars and really nice steel! I whittled out the handle, till it tightly fit and glued it together with jb wood weld. Watched a lot of videos on tsuka wrapping, and gotta say I'm pretty proud of my efforts. Just don't look too close. I did die the rayskin and changed out the menuki. Still have to fix the Saya though. Just want to say these forums are an incredible resource for all things Japanese sword! And I'm kind of eyeing the Ryujin 65MN machete / wak on special right now by SBG. This really is good steel!

Thanks for the review, guess the ditch price was to get rid of the things due to 'issues', so none ought to complain.
Fixing the koiguchi for a tight fit is a walk in the park comparatively to what you've done already. Nice job on that btw.
I have had issues with both Ryujin and Ronin Katana for itomaki tightness, I wonder if the wrapping is made by the same workers, as it is a regularly reported issue for both brands. By contrast, we got 2 JKOO and 3 Ebay katana/tanto home and they all are very tight, with once an end knot unravelling after after some use, which I fixed, and the JKOO iaito that did the same after a year of heavy use, also fixed.

Thanks Raylon! I actually ordered the jkoo T10 Wakizashi currently on special. Seen some mixed reviews over the steel, but fittings reviews I've seen are excellent. I'll let you know when it arrives! Thanks Again!
