Cosmoline I've been riding since 1968 and I'm still here in one piece and so are all my riding buddies. When people who don't ride say Motorcycles are dangerous I tell them, no Motorcycle aren't dangerous car drivers are dangerous. I've seen people look right at me and still pull out in front of me. Riding Motorcycles actually make you a safer rider or even driver because it makes you more aware of what's going on around you. You watch that car pulling up to the stop sign expecting it to pull out in front of you. Although things have gotten better over the years with people starting to realize we're there or excepting that we have a right to be there. Unless you ride you'll never understand it, like the saying goes, " If I have to explain it to you won't get it anyway ".

Yeah car drivers are dangerous! LOL That's why it's a bad idea to ride a motorcycle among them. I hope you stay safe out there.

Who...gulp...what are you, Wolfy, a motorcycle riding Viking vampire?!? Ohhh, Viking Vampires. Now there is a movie to watch, modern day...on motorcycles no less. Now what blades would they carry? I'm derailing thread but the idea is so great.

My earlier years but not my earliest. Built this bike in 1973. My parents never could figure out what they did to deserve this.

Holy ... I think my brother and I made goofy faces at you out of the rear-facing seat in our suburban, circa 1977. If so, my apologies.

That's probably true Jordan, so stop running into people on Motorcycles and killing them. When I'm talking bikers I'm not talking about the young ones on crotch rockets who think the highways and streets are their stunt track. Stop lumping us all into one group. That's like saying all Muslims are terrorist, all men are rapists or all politicians are crocked. Okay maybe not the last one. Lol. No it's not, A biker is someone who rides a motorcycle. It's not at all like saying all Muslims are terrorists or all men are rapists.

Even after my father became a paraplegic, he would lean on me or a chair and make an effort to rise for the U.S. National Anthem. I have rode motorcycles for most of my life. A cross country trip on a Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is an awesome thing. Some riders are sincere and do what they can to help others even if they have very little to offer. Some bikers are just lazy slobs that want to be seen on parade and look for any excuse to do so. For the historic event that just occurred on this day December 18th, 2019 in the U.S.A., I am proud to be an American ..........again! ...I am still drafting this post.

Regardless of which side of the Impeachment debate one is on I fear it will be used often, when the opposing party controls the house, as it was tailored without a specific crime (only a general abuse of power). If that's true it will be a dark day, as the tragedy is horrible partisan polarization and not working together.

I hear a warning coming. YOU HAVE JUST CROSSED OVER INTO THE POLITICAL ZONE. I hear you my friend, which is why I didn't pick a side (I have one but will not express it here, but did want to respond to the "probable" political post) but instead discussed (and indeed worry about) the mechanics of the bill and how it may negatively alter behavior in Washington D.C., which most agree don't work to great as it is. In short, I'm kind of a "bipartisan semprinier" (not really a word) For instance, I remember a time when Supreme Court picks were ACTUALLY bipartisan, but after the "borking" fiasco it is just a horrible partisan spectacle and purity litmus test. This is what I fear may happen with Impeachment...just another weaponized political tactic used by both sides in the future.

Ha, you dirty dog you. The whole deal with politics is..."the dogs bark but the caravan moves on" (Winston Churchill), meaning it's all pretty irritating but one should just chill because it can always be worse (true nightmares occur in other parts of the world so we are blessed, warts and all).

Over the years, the more I have learned and experienced, the less I am sure of. But, one of the things that remains true is my pride as an American. Why? We have bullies within in many forms that impose their/its will upon us. Yet, always, always we rise up to put a stone in our sling and take on Golaith. It is the American way. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing." ....today of days they did something.

Time will tell what type of fruit that "something" bears, but of course, all hope resides in an ultimately better nation and world. I'm truly afraid of not only the gridlock but polarizing tribalism, viewing people as entirely evil or entirely good while ignoring the grey of the real world in which all live.

People, stop prancing around the rules and chanting "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!", would you kindly? It's neither clever nor funny.
