YEARS ago I used to buy SOOO much stuff from them, but they carried more and better brands at the time, and my brother had a wholesale dealer thing thru Matthews Cutlery. Aside from the odd machete deal or Schrade (1095 steel models) the pickings can be pretty meager. LOTS of cheap, stainless, mall ninja junk from China to sort through to get minimally acceptable quality.

Even though musha is the lower end of musashi brand, they are the same so some nice quality blades for the price. For $60 bucks it is hard to beat IMO. All I wanted was $10 off a nice little 1045 light cutter and I would have given BudK another $50. But can they do that?! Nooooo they gotta put up sales on “stainless steel skull rings” and “president trump coins” lol I jest, but I really would like them to give us some discounts for holidays or Black Friday that are more than just discount trinkets or junk knives that the majority did not want from the beginning.

That is a pretty good price, though I gravitate to 1055-65 steel level and a consequently higher price point. Your right about having to wade through all the adolescent fantasy stuff. Zombie, ninja, bear, desperado, dragon, alien invader...you got to be prepared.

I will prepare with my real swords lol.

Like I said above, I do have some ninja mall junk like this www.budk.com/Black-Legion-Black-Death-Stalker-Sword-29868 and I use it to smack trees and so how many hits I get before the handle snaps XD

Zombie acopalypses ain't no fun at all without the mall ninja stuff! Most abundant food source for zombies are mall ninjas. Cheap, poorly tempered blade snaps after being BADLY wielded by nerd...gulp...instant snack by undead horde.

Funny thing is the blades were made out of 1095 Cro-Van steel and the boxes contained a replaceable set of black handle scales if you wanted to ditch the zombie green. Some people paid nearly $200 when the Swabbie (looks like a scimitar pirate cutlass blade) came out, but the fad dwindled and they ended up on the Ka-bar site for like $45. Check out Zombie Go Boom on YouTube regarding how nasty that swabbie blade is. I think they still have the Zombstro Cleaver for $45.

Those are made well though as good weapons with a zombie theme. This mall junk is just a theme with no real craftsmanship. I am just not a huge fan of the light green stuff to begin with.

What...you mean you don't like LIME GREEN scales on your blades? Actually, there is a practicality if you take the Zomstro cleaver, Swabbie or Pestilence camping because you can easily find the thing if you drop it after having too many beers around the campfire. That Swabbie was legendary on the ZGB video because it freaking chopped the simulated head (from top of skull to below lower jaw) completely off, thus removing face. The guys simply could not believe the cutting power.

I know it used to be that in the UK "Zombie Green" was prohibited in knives and swords. Not sure if that law is still on the books, but if the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of England think zombie green is particularly dangerous in and of itself in a knife to where it has to be banned by law, then clearly it's the right choice for the zombie apocalypse.

RufusScorpius , you beat me to it! Yep - it is in the UK lawbooks that "zombie knives" are prohibited weapons. The definition is green coloured (handle, at least), and I think serrated comes into it as well. It's just short of making a green handled kitchen knife illegal to own. I can't recall the exact wording and I'm too lazy to look up the CJA right now, but it's in there. I do wonder if we are the only country on the planet ridiculous enough to have the word "zombie" featured in our laws

Zombie acopalypses ain't no fun at all without the mall ninja stuff! Personally, I'm more about the hardware store ninja stuff. If you can walk through a gardening department without getting any ideas, I mourn for your inner twelve-year-old.
