Ordered a Deepeeka Scandinavian Vendel Chieftain sword from KOA and just in time because the price just went back up again today. I also ordered a Accolade Knights Templar sword from MRL. Unfortunately I ordered it yesterday at 20% off today it's 25% off. $17.77 down the drain. Nice! I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts on the Vendel - it's on my wishlist, along with the Fetter Lane. Don't feel bad about the Accolade. One of my Sword Collecting regrets is not picking one up during the good 'ol 50% off Deal of the Day lol.

I didn't pick up too much... I currently have 2 Balaur swords waiting for me at KOA, so just added a Deepeeka Sutton Hoo, along with a helmet stand and poster. I also ordered a WorkSharp Ken Onion Edition

50 % off Deal Of The Day, that's a thing of the past. Picked up two swords on that but I got what I paid for. The Accolade is their last chance with me.

If there are any of them left on Friday (my payday) I intend to order the Hutton Training Saber with scabbard from MRL since it's on close out and the price would be acceptable - especially with the SBGVIP code That will probably be it this year because my finances were not as happy as hoped.

Not on sale, but I did finally find a nice Argentine 1898. I hope that all the US folks had a great Thanksgiving, and that everyone had a nice week.

I paid some money off a messer. Also bought some coffee, not sure if that counts.

It's not tempered properly and takes a harsh set at the fuller terminus. It's really only good for the hilt parts tbh unless you're okay with straightening the blade all the time. At least that's the case with mine.

I bought today's (Sunday) A&A custom XV. I don't generally like XV swords but this one actually looks more like an XVIII which I do like....we'll see.

I ended up ordering a custom odachi from YarinoHanzo, they had -40% Black Friday deal on their Extreme custom katana and I thought I should use it. I thought it was great value and it's really easy as I don't have to contact Chinese forge myself and deal with potential problems + no 24% value added tax to be paid on it as it was bought from Europe. Of course it is not 100% what I would have wanted as I needed to to work with their katana configurator but hopefully in 6-10 months time I should have a decent sword.

No sword, but I ordered a complete Viking kit from Grimfrost, sans mail shirt. Tunic, undertunic, pants, leg wrappings, boots, fabric cloak, iron fibula, iron ring belt, leather belt pack and pouch, bone Tyr necklace, leather bracelet with bronze Tiwaz rune, and helmet with riveted aventail. Not completely historically accurate down to the exact detail, but close enough.

I like the style of clothing they had in their time, and find it appeals to me a bit more than most other period clothing

If you have the sword, mail, and helmet you are 3/4 of the way there. The rest is just eye-candy. BUT---DON'T forget the drinking horn! Gotta have a horn to toast Odin and the Valkyrie.

Gee I wass behaving myself so nicely. It's Christmas...
1. My Valiant Armory Custom Crecy type XV bladed sword is in production and might make Christmas.
2. Bought a DelTin type XVIII.a from KoA.
3. Bought a Cold Steel Thompson Saber from Midway Sports.
4. Back to KoA, stumbled into an in stock advert for an Albion Earl. Posting hadn't made the front page yet. I grabbed it. Got a phonecall and message from KoA stock manager. The posting was a mistake. The sword was already spoken for. Told me there was another due in end of the month. If I wanted to wait for it, they would guarantee it would be shipped to me.
5. Meantime, bought a munitions grade Hanwei Ren sidesword.
6 Ebay this morning closed on a Gebruder Weyersburg M1822/40 US Saber and a French ANXIII Cuirassier with a fall 1814 blade date, meaning an interregnum Louis XVIII pallasche.
Bought as many as I've sold.

I've been curious about the Thompson saber. I'll look forward to hearing what you think of it.

Truth be told, even just what you mentioned would make me super happy. Good enough for me. But it's been hard moving outta poverty lol. And my focus on becoming a chef was a bad idea it turns out 😂 But luckily for me.. I got one skill left. My mechanic abilities 😎 I been doing mechanics since I was a teen. Maybe I will find my luck there Also I'm super jealous of anyone on tndi thread 😂 effin guys with their 10 Albions and such
