Today is thanksgiving in America. What are y'all thankful for?
I am thankful for an amazing family, friends, my buddies here on the forum, having my dream sword finally being made, and still being alive and thriving 26 years after the docs weren't sure I would survive a month. I'm also thankful for everything else good in life of course.

I'm thankful that despite being nearly 100k in debt to my education and living in the frozen hell that is Buffalo, NY, I get to share my life with a wonderful partner, our two cats, and a handful of friends and family. Perspective is important. I live in a nice apartment, I have companionship, I have my health, and I have some comforts.

Thanksgiving was Oct 12 in Canada 🍁. But I'm pretty grateful for my family and friends. They put up with me all the time

A clean, warm, safe place to live and sleep; all the food I can eat; health; relatives and friends; a job that pays the bills and gives me money to spend on luxuries; and modern medical research that has helped me to understand and deal with my mental problems. I'm an extremely fortunate person.

My mom and dad are both 92 now, I'm thankful that they're still there.

In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, I am glad I did not starve or freeze to death last year!
Other than that we are all still chugging along. We had a great meal and afternoon with friends and family on a friend's ranch in the mountains.

I am deeply thankful for the Columbian Exchange, even if the process cost countless indigenous lives. It means that Italians get to have tomatoes. The Irish get to have potatoes. The South Asians get to enjoy chillies. The Japanese can chow down on sweet corn. The British can clog their sinuses with delicious cocaine. ...and countless Europeans, Asians, and Africans have been able to enjoy the pleasure of syphilitic chancres. Happy Turkeyman Day!

I had Thanksgiving a week early due to family scheduling issues. The meal was fantastic, and the time with my dwindling family was most enjoyed. No cussing, arguing or fighting about anything...just peace and family love. A good meal, quality time with the young ones, stories from the elders........and a ROOM FULL of BAD-ASS SWORDS and ARMOR. Seriously, I just turned 52 yo. and I feel truly blessed to be in as decent health that I am, and to have a loving wife and family....not to mention a WHOLE BUNCH of GOOD FRIENDS here on SBG. Thanks, Y'all.......Happy Holidays!

I am thankful for salvation through Christ, my family, liberty, and prosperity. And to be a part of this most excellent sword enthusiast community.
