6'1" and 145lbs in middle age. Always worked out to put meat on my birdlike bones (muscle on arms & chest), and was around 20lbs heavier years ago, but the arse and legs just didn't take and I started doing cario on the elliptical.

...I used to lie and say I was 5'5" on my drivers license. Did that for a long time.

Ok...how many guys added an inch? Ya know, I might be closer to 6' now due to middle age "shrinkage". Gulp.

I'm about 6.6, and about 180 pounds. I think, I know I'm 95kg, so I'm just estimating. And if we're talking heritage, then my ancestors are Scottish and German, although the German side of my family has been in South Africa for hundreds of years

Hard to say on the Celtic side as my family immigrated to Scotland from Ireland

My maternal line was Basque, Napoli and English. Paternal side English, Welsh, Scot, French, German. Here with some family about 1991. I'm about 230-240 in that shot. My dad's second wife and a niece sharing the bench. Opposite is my maternal grandmother who was born outside Naples and her dad a Basque wheelright, Guiseppe Picazio. The fellow next to grandmama is an Italian born, Jewish raised Methodist ordained minister Grandmama was pretty much curled up by her age in the picture but was 4'10-4'11 at her prime. My mother's dad was a large Englishman. I do have tall boots on in that picture but I never felt the need to add an inch for bragging rights. Cheers GC

My paternal gggrandmama was a Beck, so I claim a dram of German. The French connection was Bozarth, my paternal ggggrandmama.

No, I donāt add and inch. Iām Anglo-Norman with minor Scandinavian and very minor Scots-Irish. All the men in my estranged fatherās family are tall and muscular or thin, while all the men in my mothers family are short and muscular. I got most of my shape from my mothers side but my color for my fathers.

I didn't add an inch but I've lost 1 cm the last decades. I'm not 194 cm any more, an incredible shrinking man, boohooo!
I have a very slightly crooked spine, so I could have been 1-2" taller. My arms and legs are longer than my height, together with a robust body core I look a bit like a skinless orang utan. Oogh!

Of course, the dict I looked up said "skinless" for "no fur/pelt". Hairless doesn't really match too, cause I have hair and beard. Ooghoogh! Imagine this with a traditional hat and an Atlantean!

Not for those still living in Africa! Well, If we are gonna be really accurate, almost every African population group has ancestors from outside Africa. Some populations over tens of thousands of years left, then decided they wanted to go back. Modern African populations are not significantly closer genetically to the original humans than any other population on Earth. The idea that modern Indigenous Africans are genetic relics is not accurate at all, no matter what the white supremacists or Hoteps say. And I went on a rant lol. Sorry about that...

I aimed for the "emigrated", not the ancestry, but you're right.

Human beings migrate... a lot. Except the English, of course. There are actual inherited genetic mutations in the DNA of English people or people with English ancestry that can be traced along county boundary lines. The English simply don't budge.

My dad's side is mostly English with a big helping of German, and a small dash of Irish. Mom's side is Welsh, Dutch, and English; there's supposedly some Cherokee in there too, but I can't find it in any genealogical records, and I'm almost positive it's just a family myth. Would explain my darker appearance though, I constantly get asked if I've got Middle Eastern or East Indian heritage, lol (especially in the summer when I tan up good).
