Was SLATE HILL, NY the final destination in the US before leaving out of country?

In fact it was the second parcel of us that had gone missing from Longship. The first one ended up recovered by USPS after over 1 month's time and delivered to us alright, except the delay. The second one, no one in USPS bother to actually find it before claiming it lost.

This is all so strange... the Jimbo Curry saber we bought from Jimbo before the misery with our cat got so bad arrived today; three and a half weeks is OK with the christmas trouble calculated. But i t came right to our door, no picking up at the customs office 8 miles away, no income tax paid, no customs fees! I dont understand anything. Really. Here it is, the left one... it was meant to form a Witcher pair with the other Jimbo sword; named "Darknight" and "Starlight"; but we will not be able to keep it i think. If anyone has interest in a well made Swiss Saber let us know! It will show up in the classified area soon. Attachments:

I'm so sad I don't got cash for it, as the Swiss saber is my all time favourite sword. But I can't complain too much, as I have not been unfortunate 😎

I've noticed huge rise in international shipping costs from Finland. It is now not economically feasible for me to even try to sell production/cheaper custom swords within Europe anymore. I need to sell them within Finland now. I feel this greatly reduces my interest to get affordable production swords and customs. As I've been able to sell them in Europe it has been lot easier as there have always been buyers for reasonably priced swords. Now that the market is pretty much reduced to just Finland there is only very tiny market. So guess I'll just have to gear towards Japanese antiques from now on.

Companies have different rates than regular folk. If I would send over 100 cm package to Germany cheapest option is 57€. Given that Finland has so much shipping with Germany rates to Germany are still reasonable.
For example to France or England over 100 cm package costs me 92€ in shipping...

I recently shipped a sword to the U.S. via courier without any major issues. I called them first to confirm they would ship it, telling them it was unsharpened which it was. They said they would, and they did.

Recently we in Hong Kong can't get any swords from China, and our latest 2 express parcels from USA through USPS have become super delayed. The first one arrived only after consistent pressure for them to find the parcel, after over 1 month time. The second one, still stuck at the same spot that the first one was stuck at and this time around no one bothers to find it. So basically the import restrictions only affect swords from china? Not for swords from USA?

I am considering to buy a sword, but heard that swords from china are not allowed to ship to hong kong recently(also heard this from some other dealers) and I was concerned if swords are going to be prohibited completely in HK. By the way, take care, stay healthy and safe, life became difficult in hong kong.

Just don't try to return a sword from USA back to Longquan for reason of repair/modification/return to seller. USA to Longquan parcels go thru Shanghai Customs. They stole a $500 Jkoo katana...received it, said they would not send it on, refused to return it. Probably residing in someone's home or office now...it was pretty nice. I insured in for guaranteed delivery/loss/damage with USPS. USPS refused to give me even a dollar. Appealed with no luck. RinC
