Good day one and all! I’m an Army veteran residing in California who spends most of his waking hours at school or at work. I like the sharp things.
I’ve been following the blog for the past year or so — mostly because I’ve started working at a sword and knife shop in my hometown. I consider myself knowledgeable and passionate about the latter, but I knew next-to-nothing about the former. Thanks in part to SBG, I have what I would consider a working knowledge of swords, but I didn’t join the forum because I don’t have any swords and I really didn’t have much to contribute.
This will be changing in the next few months, as I’m having my very first sword commissioned. I entirely blame the sword community as a whole for tempting me with their incredible pieces of craftsmanship, and I can’t put to words how excited I am to have my very first sword of my own.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!

Thank you for the welcome!
I’m having a 15th Century German longsword dome by Maciej Kopciuch! I’ve detailed it in a thread on the General Discussion forum!

Thank you for the welcome! I’m having a 15th Century German longsword dome by Maciej Kopciuch! I’ve detailed it in a thread on the General Discussion forum! Wow! AWESOME first blade. So cool. There really, really is something about holding your first sword in your hand. Especially your first CUSTOM blade. Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome home, friend. Here, you will find a sickness and addiction that is life-altering. It starts with one, then two, then a half-dozen, then a room full of swords, spears, war-hammers, daggers, shields, and armor. Welcome to poverty. Hope you like eating boiled beans and rice!
