Are there any good quality stainless steel tai chi swords out there? I know stainless steel is kinda anathema around here, but due to my fear of chemicals (officially diagnosed by my therapist as a manifestation of my OCD), due to my fear of chemicals stainless steel would be the way to go since I wouldn’t be able to polish the blade or even handle the blade (since it would still have oil residue) - at least not without triggering a panic attack. Having to take a benzo every time you handle your sword is REALLY not a good habit.
Are they any QUALITY stainless steel swords out there? I’d also like one with a bit thicker edge (maybe like a butter knife) so there’s no safety issues to worry about. My budget is around $150 to $350. Tang Dynasty era preferably, backsword straight dao really appeal to me. Always loved the look, very sleek, almost like a sword cane at first glance haha. But I’d also take any standard dao. 30-inch blade is what my tai chi instructor sized me for so...
So in other words:
Tang Dynasty straight dao (or standard dao) Stainless steel, 30-inch blade thicker blunted edge for safety $150 - $350 budget
Do they manufacture anything like that would be of actual QUALITY, or am I stuck with junk swords? Junk swords would be fine for tai chi, but still want something a little nicer...

Just as a thought, I use Frog Lube to care for my carbon steel firearms and swords. It is vegetable based and food grade (as in you can eat it). Would that still trigger your issues or might it be something you could consider? It has a pleasant mint scent as well, so no chemical associations I would hope.
