Here's a fun video to start things off. In full disclosure, the primary weapon used in this video is not a cutting weapon. But a sword comes in at the end to show how to get things done.

I was too. What were your projectiles and how long have you been slinging?

Thanks guys! Although don't be fooled. I'm far from a marksman. For the few hits in the video, there were probably about 5 dozen misses which were edited out. Granted some of them were only off by a few inches, but some not even remotely close.
The projectiles were ice balls. I have a couple sphere molds that make a 1/2 dozen at a time. Great slinging ammunition because you don't have to go looking for it. The first time I used a sling was more than decade ago. But doing it fairly regularly has been about a year and a half.
Similarly with swords. I've been collecting swords for quite a while, but never really made use of them. I'm hoping to make cutting practice a more regular thing.

Ice balls is an awesome idea. Frangible, biodegradable, and consistent.

Ice is a great idea. And I'm still impressed with your slinging. I could have tried all day without a hit, and would have counted myself lucky to not hit the camera.

Happy Thanksgiving to any who celebrate it. Just a reminder: you can send in a video of you carving turkey with a sword or axe or something and submit it. Chop some rolls with a seax. The sillier the better.

Yep. "Cutting" can mean cutting anything. Make a sweet turkey and cranberry sandwich and use Miss Flexie to cut it half to eat, hahaha. We don't mean for everybody to have to go out and chop stuff up, it can be small and stupid stuff like that. We want people to have some fun with it.

I was going to regale y'all with a festive snowman massacre, but now that we finally have real snow we no longer have daylight. And my SD card crapped out, too, so it'd have to be a very short massacre... We'll see if I can manage to rig up enough outdoor lighting to shoot something more interesting than just ten seconds of grainy grey mush.

Hey everyone, here is my submission. And for some background on the cutting, with the combination of it being wet and wrapped with several tough layers it withheld swings at times. Sorry I could not show all the results, a lot of the items being cut went all over the room . I also couldn't go outside since it was raining all day. The theme was to do some tameshigiri with wrapped fruit/food essentially. Oh and by the way, there was a banana, a plum, 2 slices of bread, an apple, 1 potato and 2 celery sticks. The banana got sliced in half, the plum in half, the apple in half, for one celery stick 3 times, the other barely in half, and one slice of bread got cut into a third, the other untouched, the potato also in half. All of the cuts were pretty dang clean too . Hope you like it. Video:

If I can, I would request the tsuba/seppa set if I win. If what I am assuming is correct that each entry that wins one of the prizes. I didn't see anything about a entry that couldn't request a certain one, unless I am wrong, thanks.
