Hello team!
Very new to the site! I have a project that I have been meaning to tackle for some time now. Hoping to get it done this year!
My father is a very well known wrestler. He wrestled from the late 60’s to early 90’s. During his time with the AWA he was The Sheik or Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie. During his time with WWE he was known as General Adnan.
I have a lot of his things. One in particular is the sword he used during his time as the Sheik. I’m looking for any help, to figure out what kind of sword this is. I would like to remove some of the rust and protect it for years to come while it is displayed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Post up some photos, in good lighting without dark spots. On a kitchen table or counter top with the lights on.
Or outside in the sun on a flat and clear surface.

I gotta warn you, coming out of the show business, odds are that it's just a cheap prop with no real value outside of its connection to your father. Anyway. Is it this one? We'll need seriously less blurry photos of the sword to be able to tell anything about it, but for historical context this is the best shot I was able to find, featuring the Sheik with his sword and the Iron Sheik...

I looked him up and found an incredibly blurry video where he was holding the sword, and at the end was slipping it in and out of the scabbard, but not in any position where one can make out any detail.

Kinda looks like the Indian tourist marker swords based on the P1821 cav troopers sword.
