Sword Webcomic with real JSA and HEMA techniques

As many of you will know, earlier this year we wrapped up and mothballed the failed Legendary Swords website Project - everyone previously involved withdrew from the world building and contributions dried up.
But I enjoyed the creative process with the webcomic - and so have decided to reboot it entirely..
The side story about the last Thane and Denisa, Goblin King etc will be split off and archived for now - it was planned to all come together at by the end of the series, but in the end will be two different tales..
The thing is, I want this series to feature realistic fantasy swords and realistic sword fighting scenes.
If you look at the sword designs from the series that we had made, all would work in the real world - no oversized 'Buster' swords or blades with aesthetics that would weaken or make the sword unusable.
But the fighting - that needs to be a bit different as many of the swords are magical, and the heros and villains often capable of feats no normal human can do. But despite this, I want to avoid too much 'spinning', 'flying' or other unnatural and impractical techniques, so right now the main story starting with Aofie in the Badlands attacked by mutants is being modified.
So my question is - what do you guys think of this idea? What techniques and real world sword fighting tricks and techniques would you like to see?
It could get quite gory, as in history it often took several blows to kill an opponent and it was rare to walk away completely unscathed (the only reason Aofie still has a pretty face is because her sword has powerful healing capabilities) - but I think a comic with actual realistic sword fighting is something I would like to see, and maybe some of you would like to see it also..

The more 'exotic' and daring techniques will be reserved for fights between unequal opponents, such as Aofie and the mutants. Aofie is physically faster and more dexterous than the mutants - similar to comparing an Olympic level gymnast on steroids to a couch potato - and so she may well use some acrobatics in her fight. But when two opponents are more or less evenly matched, apart from any magic tricks, the fighting should be super realistic - with fighters rarely going down from a single blow, lots of feinting and attempting to set their opponent up, etc.
Here's an quick example of what I mean with Aofie fighting a group of 5 mutants. As they closed on her, and one tried to outflank her, she started running backwards and drew her sword, stopped suddenly and cut the throat of the mutant you see who has fallen to his knees. The one she strikes below had just had a punch from his rock hard hand deflected by her shield, and as the closest and off balance, he went down next.
Using her speed, she spins and slips past the claw attack of the green mutant and positions herself.
With arms outstretched, it is no hard feat for a magical sword to sever two arms in one blow.
Against more experienced or dangerous opponents, she would not have taken such risks - more likely she would have done everything she can to run backwards and not allow them to get to her flank, varying her timing and using every obstacle to her advantage (such as pulling back a tree branch and letting it whip the guy behind her in the face)
