Long time forum member and moderator aussie-rabbit has run into some hard times. Recently his home burned down. He'd like to extend his apologies for his absence and his appreciation for the members here. He's not in a position to access the internet with any regularity, but will return when he's had time to regroup and find new lodgings. It'd be great if we could get some positive messages going so that he has something nice to come back to.

I've not interacted with Aussie-Rabbit much, but I do remember reading his posts in the past. I can only imagine what he's going through; losing a home and most of what's in it has to be tough. I hope he'll be able to rebuild and recoup his losses. Hang in there, Aussie-Rabbit!

Wishing him the best and giving him my prayers. It's a horrible thing to lose a home to fire or disaster, and of course life before leisure.

What a terrible thing to happen. That is pretty tough going. Sounds like no one was hurt, which is genuinely something to be thankful for in an otherwise heartbreaking situation. Very best wishes.

Like everyone else I hope he can recover well. I used to work for a restoration company, restore houses after fire, flood, etc. Fire is the most devastating I think. A primal fear I guess. No One, djinn, I was wondering about you lately. I’ve read a lot of your posts and enjoyed them. I didn’t know if it was ok to ask if anyone had heard from you. Don’t always know what proper forum protocol is. Anyway hope your doing well.

Hope everything is ok Jeff and if you need a hand with moving let me know, when you get settled again we must have another cutting session, I might have a few items to help get your collection started again.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Aussie. Having been through a pretty bad home catastrophe myself, I know it's hard to get through. Keep the faith, bro.

Best wishes on getting the home back together. I've had similar experiences twice. It taught me two things. 1. I have too much stuff. 2. Stuff is just stuff. It can be replaced. People and life is whats precious. Luck brother!
