The seller is a ok in my book. I bought from him at a show many years ago (2008). The sword is authentic and I project bids will end in the $500-$600 range. They are common enough that they turn up regularly and the last dealer site example I saw was in the $00 dollar range. They have increased in price but you use to be able to find very nice examples in the $300-$400 range. The safe queens were in the $600 range back then (minty). There are period German made heavies (m1840 type) out there in the $400-$500 range in fine condition.

Only $305 $256 (as he said below.)in the end. More than I had, less than I expected it to go for. Gives me hope

Wisconsin. I've actually got my eye on a different kind of saber right now but I've been watching the prices on these to get a better feel for the market to hopefully get one eventually. My Windlass 1906 though is plenty good enough for now.

The auction linked went for $256, a bargain.
