Hi, all. I’ve shared knives I’ve made before, but I tried my hand at some swords over the last couple weeks. I’m relatively pleased with the results. There are things I learned in the process that I will do differently next time, and the fit and finish is a little more than OK. It could be better. Each was forged out of 1084, finish ground, heat treated, and given a grip by me. I also forged the guard. First sword is a cutlass/shamshir/szabla hybrid type thing. The grip is tiger maple. Blade length is about 28 inches. The next is my take on a Dacian Falx. I’ve put this one through some testing, and it is a terrifying cutter. The grip on this one is reclaimed chestnut. Thanks for looking! Attachments:

It is horrifying for sure. I would really not want to face one.

You know, if you're just fiddling around and want a home for those, (so they won't get dusty, of course...) send them to me Nice work!

Heh. I won’t let my wife see that, or she’ll be looking for your address. 😉
Thanks for the compliment.
