I’m looking around for good and affordable custom award smiths, mostly ones that have experiences with fantasy swords and the like. I’m either looking to have a smith forge one of three swords: the witch king of angmars sword, a heron marked blade (design closer to Lange messer of some kind) or durzahs sword from the inheritance cycle (using the ‘black prince’ Swords or oakeshott xva as a staring point). If anyone knows sites or smiths and how to contact them, It would be much appreciated. Or if anyone has experience with swords that are in a moderately fair price point for functional replica of these swords.

Knowing that will help immensely with recommendations.

The only issue with that heron saber is I’d prefer a dual d ring on the guard. Otherwise it just seems a little to “plain” for a swordmasters blade

your budget is too low for a custom of any of the three fantasy weapons u listed im afraid, you are probably better off seeing which saber on the production market that is historically accurate or like the VA heron because there is not much fantasy stuff that is under 1000 i would recommend

Yeah your budget is too low for a custom maker unless you talk to someone from luanquan China. Wes beem is good but again you are looking at over your price point. Fantasy means different parts which means work on changing or out right casting which is even more expensive. Just have to take what's out there or look to China. You can get good stuff out of there if your careful. I just got the Thundercats sword! Love it!
