I just wrapped a new tsuka in cotton I would like to secure it with some time of glue/lacquer that gives good finish on the wood.Any ideias?
I didnt use samegawa on this one.
Apreciate it. Spray? I think aplying with small brush might work best.

I use spray lacquer. Anything that dries to a very hard finish. I spray it close to the ito so the lacquer liquefies and absorbs into the material. You can also use thinnned liquid lacquer or polyurethane and apply it with a brush. That method will give you more control over where, and how much, you want to apply. Cottontail Customs has a tutorial on his website: www.cottontailcustoms.com/lacquering-ito/However you do it, test it on actual ito, or similar material before applying, to make sure it dries and sets as you want it.
