And here's the result.
First a few stats:
length 570mm weight 508g width 33mm to 25mm at the start of the back edge
POB 65mm from nagel Taper 6mm at the end, 5mm at the nagel and 4mm at the start of the back edge
And a few pictures:
pretty pointy tip and a very sturdy angle on the edges.
Grip has some pretty hefty taper.
Polishing is hard to see here on the wood.
Cold peened, domed and filed a star pattern into it.
You see the first attempt, a bought one (D2 steel - 60 EUR) and the just finished knive.
Pretty satisfied with the result so far. But all in all I have to admit, that a "regular" sword is much more easy to produce for me. That's why the next project is definitely no knive .

Wow! I’ve been following this and that is beautiful. Great job. Must be very satisfying after the earlier issues. Well done.

Thank you guys!
Wish I've made some pictures that are not so blurry. After testing the third smartphone here, I gave up.
The handling is...hm...special . I've got a faible for thinner grips, which might result from my not so large hands. When picking it up, you might get the feeling you have a little kitchen knife in your hand. That's what the grip feels like. The whole blade in general feels like a tool to chop things, otherwise the tip is an invitation to stab. The overall feeling for this kind of blade is absolutely new for me. Maybe it could be a tad more agile to be honest. All in all I'm quite happy with the result, maybe not too bad for a first try in this category of blades.

As a hobby chef, that sounds amazing tbh
