Pretty much what the title says. What series or books in the SiFi or Fantasy genre would you want to see as movies?
Let's not get into the topic of books being better than movies. They are different mediums so they are different art forms.
1) Karl Edward Wagner's Kane stories. Reflections for the Winter of my Soul, in particular.
2) Roger Zelazny's Amber series
3) Brian Daley's Corramonde series or Alacrity Fitzhugh and Hobart Floyt series
3) Elizabeth Moon's Deed of Paksenarrion
4) E E "Doc" Smith's Lensman series, Skylark series or even the Family D'Alembert series
5) various authors- Thieves World- would be interesting from the different perspectives of the characters and authors
6) I'd say The Dragonriders of Pern but it's too soon after GoT
7) Heinlein's Tunnel in the Sky and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress
8) Robert Adams' Horse Clans series
I'm sure to edit and add more as I think of them.
What are your suggestions ?

The first book has already been made into a series, but I would love a good budget period drama of the entire Kingsbridge series, would be a great and chill watch.

Flux and Fixed by Beth Goobie. If they don't mess it up and give it to bunk directors, it could actually be pretty cool. Especially if done by an ambitious director with a similar investment in it like Christopher Nolan did with Batman. I have been heavily inspired in my own story writing by the concepts in this one.
Would I recommend it? No. But it's why it would need an ambitious director. Like Stanley Kubrick to The Shining. Someone who could change it to suit a worthwhile vision (though I still preferred the shining as a book)

I'm always kinda hesitant about imagining what I'd like to see adapted, because I've seen some horrible adaptations in the past, but there are a few I'd like to see as movies and a few I'd think would be better as series;
Movies Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy Brandon Sanderson's Reckoners Trilogy Brent Weeks' Night Angel Trilogy
Series John Flanagan's Brotherband Chronicles John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice - So long as we all pretend everything after The Lost Stories never happened Travis Bagwell's Awaken Online - Currently ongoing, but absolutely fantastic Drew Hayes' Spells, Swords, & Stealth - Also ongoing, also fantastic Jim Butcher's Dresden Files - There already was one, but it was cancelled after only one season and screwed a lot of the lore up Jim Butcher's Codex Alera - Better as a series rather than movies because of how dense some of the books are and there's very little you could safely cut.

brent week's night angel series, but i feel it will become a sappy crappy teen drama with lots of teenage love bs and watered down plot with a teen rating so i am almost hoping it never happens instead

I vote for "The Illiad" by Homer. Yah yah yah, "it's been done", I hear yah. But no, it's not been done. Not correctly, and not according to the book. Do a movie like the book and it will be awesome x10.
I don't want ANY good book turned into a movie if they are going to do it like they've done every other one. That is to say, they gut the concept of the story, inject modern attitudes, viewpoints, or politics. Just tell the story like it is and it will carry itself.
My second vote would be the "Casca: the Eternal Mercenary" series by Barry Sadler. As long as they don't screw it up and stick to the storylines.

The original Illiad is one of my favourite stories. Was easily the most enjoyable school project I've ever had

Hell the yah! The Illiad is full of action, adventure, heroics, fighting between the Gods, fighting between friends, epic duels, and so on. And they DID NOT FIGHT WITH DIRTY ARMOR! I like the part where the dude was fighting hot and heavy and broke his spear. The enemy stopped fighting him and let him go back to his tent to get another spear, then when he returned they continued fighting. 'Cause it ain't cool to kill an unarmed guy. F'n epic.
It is an butt-kicking story from start to finish.

A really well done movie (or would it be better as a TV series?) would be absolutely awesome.

Ilium and Olympos novels from Hyperion's author Dan Simmons, Simmons' personal take on the Iliad.
Set 3K years and more in the future, where on a terraformed Mars post-humans are greek gods that replay the Iliad for their amusement while human culture lovers, sentiant robots living around Jupiter start to investigate these 'gods' as their quantum manipulations risk destroy the Solar system. In the meanwhile, a nigh invulnerable, E.T. worshipping, flesh eating monster stalks the Earth and orbital rings while a handful of the few surviving 'old style' humans try to figure out what is happening and survive the plots of godlike aliens, RNAed dinosaurs and genocidal killing machines.
A Homerically Shakespearian tale.
Spoilers, I know.
You should read these books.

Gene Wolf’s Book of the New Sun series. It would make a fantastic premium series with the right budget.

Asimov's Foundation was my first thought, too. Hard to do in a movie, a tv series might work.
So much more sci fi novels from the 70s... The Mote in God's Eye by Niven/Pournelle. Or 80s fantasy... The Orphan/Captive/Beast by Robert Stallman. And some young, passionate, gifted director should do a 9 hour trilogy of Dune. Script by Alex Garland. Thank you.

Forget Amber - that was Zelazny's dullest work. Now, "Lord of Light"? Or "Creatures of Light and Darkness"? Much better works.

I like the Amber series, like someone can enjoy a good tv series even if it can't compare to Academy Award level movies. I think the Amber books would be a good format for a tv show, all the hype around GoT made other producers to make their own blockbuster fantasy/political series, Amber would be excellent for the plot/political parts.
That being said, Skybound Entertainment were to produce an Amber Chronicles TV series, though it seems the project is in limbo and may have been dropped.
