I made these for my grandsons . I used 2'x2' - 1/4" fiberboard from the Home Depot - $3.74 each. The boss is a dog bowl from Dollar Tree . For paint I used whatever spray print or cans of latex or enamel I had. The handle is 1"x2" furring strip I made almost every mistake you could make on a simple project . On the blue one I made the hole for the boss too large and had to cover it with a piece of vinyl flooring. I should have paid more attention in shop class.

They all look great...especially the blue one! If my childhood friends and I only had wooden shields (and swords), none of us would have had any baby teeth for the Tooth Fairy.
