$600.00 is the most I would pay for a good rapier. Anything lower I would consider If you don't mind a design that is more functional and less ornate, you can find a real historical cup hilt rapier in that price range. For a little more, you can find a historical smallsword with some stylish details if you shop around.

I ordered the Christus Imperat rapier last week. It is on backorder and should arrive sometime in June. I am really looking forward to receiving it

For any members contemplating a Windlass rapier, it looks like they've restarted their Deal of the Day program, which is hands-down the cheapest way to get one of their better models. Keep an eye on it and it will likely pay off pretty nicely!

The only antique rapier I've seen for sale in person was for around 3K.

Here's a rapier that I saw when I was shopping the other day: a g a n a r m s.com/products/composite-cup-hilt-rapier Remove the extra spaces from the URL. Stupid automatic censorship code is apparently ignorant that this is a legitimate sword vendor, not an epithet. I was tempted to get the rapier myself, but ended up getting a smallsword instead.

The stupid censorship code is still mucking with the URL. That vendor's name begins with an F, even though it's not showing up that way in the post.

I think that may be an epee blade. I can't see it too well on my mobile but the blade seems a little odd to me coupled with the very thin cup.

Is this it? tinyurl.com/y5hzbdctI suppose we could petition administration to allow a specific word but using tinyurl will work, as a workaround. Personally, I would pass it by unless somehow strangely drawn to it.

Does anybody over at KOA know when the Christus Imperat rapier will be back in stock? Seems this item has been on backorder status on various vendors websites for some time now. In fact I haven’t been able even find one in stock anywhere. I have placed a order that is back ordered too. Just curious to see if anyone has a clue on this

The Windlass Christus Imperat has the square section guards of the original, but rotated thru 45°, to provide an edge to stick into your fingers, even thru gloves. Mine needed a fair bit of attention from a Dremel to be tolerable. Otherwise, no complaints.

I am looking forward to receiving mine. I am setup for sharpening blades so that should not be a problem.
