All I need to do at this point is split the belt and make the holes for tying....didn't want to go buckle. Overall thought was to make a simple yet clean scabbard with no decorations...kinda fits the sword I think. I also have always sort of liked the single diagonal strap look instead of the "x", again for this simple overall scabbard I think it works well. The "chape" is more just a bit of "U" shaped steel Wood core, lined with wool felt...stitched up the back yadda yadda yadda. 2019-04-02_06-34-37 by warspite15, on Flickr 2019-04-02_06-34-26 by warspite15, on Flickr

Very impressive do you have more photos? I would like to see how you joined the seam on the back if you glued and stitched or just glued. I also like the belt and plain chape. Where did you get the liner? I just started making popular core scabbard and did not use a liner for my first one.

Simple, but very nice! Reminded me of a scene in Arn the Templar knight when he fights some jerk with an Albion Stamford they tossed to him. :)
