Could just be that the fuchi has a gap. I've had this happen before, where you hear and feel a tactile looseness, not a creak or anything, but something feels or sounds like it's moving and shifting. It's almost always the fuchi having a gap. And it's a super easy fix, I always just grab a tissue paper, tear off just the right amount and insert it as padding (wrapping it around the inside of the fuchi until it's a perfectly snug fit with the tsuka core). Have had to do that with everything from a Huawei Unokubi to a Hanwei Bushido katana and especially the k120c steel Musashi. Pretty common flaw and thankfully an easy fix.

The creaking on mine was farther on the nakago, between the second mekugi pin and kashira. Today I liberally taped the last third of the nakago and the tsuka slid on easlily until the last inch, which just demonstrate that there was a lot of space there. There is no creaking anymore, will do some cutting tommorrow, see if it comes back.

Yep, Guys!
Loose nakago inside the tsuka problem!! Definitely, nothing wrong with seppa-fuchi area. Just taped the nakago, 10 cm of a rough tape around the area between the mekugi holes, not silver tape, nor those thiker plastic ones, just regular one used to fix rough paper on the wall. Plus more 10 cm bellow the second hole near the nakago`s end. Everything firm and sturdy again, doing quite a good tachikaze for a half bo-hi blade, without any tuk-tik-taks. tomorrow will restart cutting some bottles and see how it goes.
Thanks a lot for all those helpful suggestions!!
Cheers!

Good to hear Zanbatou, had a good cutting session with a friend and taping the nakago also proved effective to fix the problem, cheers!

Hi everyone,
just updating things regarding this thread. My Huawei 9260 moroha zukuri, after taping the nakago and stopping the tuk-tuk noise-vibe in the tsuka, keeps on cutting formidably. So for all purposes, I revise and withdraw my initial impression questioning that Huawei kat quality, now considering it a good purchase in overall aspects for the price I paid (around 330 usd with shipping and customs import tax). Should say that my initial pessimistic impression was due to inexperience in dealing with production katana small flaws. Again, thanks to all those who advised me on that issue!
Cheers!

Huawei usually ships within a week, takes 2 week to get to you, but you can e-mail the seller to ask if it is in stock before ordering, just to put your mind at ease.
Huawei is arguably one of the best (arguably THE best) production katana Ebay seller as far as consistency goes, QC is better than average, habaki fitting better than average, tsuka amongst the best that Ebay vendors usually offer, and blades are mostly better than average. That comes with being slightly more expensive that your average Ebay seller too.
If you keep in mind these are still production swords which may or may not come with flaws and accept no sword at this price range is perfect, then go for it.
I fully plan to get one of Jacky's top range sword once budget permits.

I wouldn't know, haven't bought or handled Hanwei nor Huawei 'high end' swords as yet, but their 'beater' swords are quite good.
Huawei won't have the nice fittings Hanwei does (Longquan production koshirae), but these new plain iron fitting of their high end seems to be a step up, if you like plain and utilitarian.

Hi Nternal, Well, Huawei called my attention by the amount of positive feedbacks they received given by much more experienced people than me along several threads in this Forum, and for a long time. So, it seemed clear that they have a good reputation and I bought from them with confidence after some research and advices from the guys in Sbg forum. As far as things are going, my 9260 kogarasu maru Th is the best cutter i have in my very modest small collection (consisting of a RDP n. 12 and an Autumn Leaf DK). So far, Ive only tried several types and sizes of plastic bottles and small tree branches in my backyard cutting exercises. However, along the process of acquiring it, I had a few problems of communication with Mr. Jacky, i should say a lack of communication for a long period after payment confirmation, more than one month, and after some time I've decided to email him on a weekly basis asking for shipping confirmation and track number, insistently, and no answers at all, he left me in the void for the entire period. In the end, Ive realised that I was trying to contact him via their site contact service (where I bought the Kat) and an email account they used to confirm my order, not through the ebay page contact. In fact, I just got his answer after finding the reviews of the costumers in their ebay page evaluating their purchases and talking with him. So, I wrote him through there, and finally he answered saying my katana have already shipped and finally giving me a track number. When I check it out in the tracking system, it was being held in Brazilian customs for almost 3 weeks then, waiting for import tax payment. Dont know what happened, if he never received my emails, or if he deliberately decided not to answer me, or just forgot to inform me about my order' shipment. In sum, it took around three weeks to arrive in my country from Hong Kong, but without a tracking number I hardly would have noticed this. Anyway, almost seven weeks after payment confirmation I received it in my house. And then, it went just like Ive mentioned in the previous replies in this thread pointing those issues, very slight bent right from the box and, after some cuts, the Tuk-Tuk Samba noise from the tsuka-nakago internal dancing, that proved to be a relatively small flaw easily fixable. In the end, it was not a bad story. Would I buy from them again? Uhmm...Possibly, yes, knowing that communication is better through ebay store than from their site. Cheers!!

I hope so, man. Good luck!
Ps - the effort was to give a fair record of my experience buying from Huawei, maybe it will be helpful to someone else around the globe.
Cheers!
