Is it just me or is there a scarcity of Deepeeka Viking swords ? Some web sites have them at premium prices and some have one or two models but not what I am looking for. KOA seems to have most every one on backorder .
How long does a condition like this usually last ?

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

KOA has one in the 'Dent and Scratch' section for $133. Not bad, and can't be much wrong with it. You think Deepeeka are scarce...try ordering a Hanwei Cawood from KOA. Not really a Viking sword, but still.....glad I already have one. Check back with them often. Or, click the one you want and have them email you when it's back in stock.

Its very difficult for us to say how long it will take for items to be restocked from Deepeeka at KOA (any many other manufacturers as well). When stock begins dwindling we put in orders for more and its naturally up to Deepeeka how they want to fill the orders. What they choose to make for the next resupply probably has a lot to do with material supply, available craftsmen, batch-producing similar things for more efficiency, etc. That would be my guess.
It usually takes a few months to half a year (though wait times of more than a year are not unheard of) to get restocked on an item once everything associated with production, packaging, overseas shipping, and domestic shipping is completed. Indeterminate lengths of time for shipments to navigate customs greatly adds to prediction difficulty.
I understand that this post isn't helpful on giving you a reliable wait time, but that is because I can't give one that is better than a guess due to the aforementioned reasons.
Sometimes people get upset with us because they think we are just not buying enough stock - but what is more often true is that we will buy items from some manufacturers as fast as they can make them available to us and the other customers they fill orders for. For many items among several manufacturers the total global market demand outstrips manufacturer production capacity.

I have a Hanwei medieval sword I bought about 5 years ago. I like the Hanwei Viking but I feel like it is the same sword with different guard and pommel if that makes any sense .
I prefer the sort of broken in look of the Deepeeka Viking swords. I also like a brown scabbard over black on a Viking sword
Maybe I have been watching too much Norseman on Netflix .

May i ask which "Hanwei Medieval Sword" you are referring to? AFAIK theres no model of such name... and the Hanwei/Tinker line Early Medieval Sword has a completely different blade geometry than the H/T Viking? Just interested in what model that might be; i'd like to see the H/T Viking blade with some other furniture... Attachments:

I finally found a Hanwei Cawood Sword for sale and it arrived over a week ago. I really like it. Sorry I haven’t posted it yet in the new acquisition thread yet. I took a lot of searching to find it in stock. Purchased it for $274.00 USD. Looks like a lot of medieval and Viking swords are out of stock www.warriorsandwonders.com

Yup, it's the one in the photo. Sorry I could not remember what it was called. I seem to migrate from one hobby to another and swords have been on a backburner for a few years.
Gunnar, thanks for the recommendation on the Deepeeka Hersir . I very much like the wide blade. Something to think about.
That Cawood is a mighty pretty sword . A bit out of my price range though.

I sent an email to the good folks at Deepeeka inquiring as to the next shipment of swords to the U.S. Hopefully the information is accurate and I'm not dead by then.
This was their response.
