Hello !! . Excelent movie ! As you , I looked for this sword for many years .. the most similar is the Del tin 5167 Two handed sword. Here is the link , too expensive but it's closer replica to the sword. www.arts-swords.com/item/DT-DT5167.aspThe original one was made for Oskar Kolombatovich for the movie and I believe never was in the market . I became interested in the two handed swords for this movie and am a big fan too.. Another choice is the AH3247 Two Handed Large Sword for Deepeeka 65" ( too large for the size of Navarre sword ) but similar in shape with parrying hooks in the blade, straight guard but with rings in it .. well .. not so similar but hmm .. anyway ;D... check it : www.deepeeka.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=3168Hope this helps. !

The swords from Lady Hawk were the creations of Oscar Kolombatovich Some of his sword designs are still available through American Fencers Supply www.amfence.com/The 1980s saw a good many of his sword designs as well thought of and the rapiers especially are liked. The product was being produced in Spain. By todays standards, the swords are (for the most part) not terrifically accurate or handy The Del Tin you link to is certainly similar in some aspects but was not the movie sword. I have a single hand Oscar K I bought used some years ago. There are a couple of large two handers that keep circulating on different forums classifieds sections. My single hander is the second sword from our left (in the row closest) when looking at this picture. Cheers Hotspur; by todays standards, the Oscar K stuff looks a bit like most wall hangers but folk are still drawn to mine when out on the table

I have one of his rapiers; I intend to be buried with it . Re: Ladyhawke-- Rutger Hauer carries that amazing sword, unfortunately I haven't seen anything comparable. At least, nothing with large gems in it . --Edward

Great sword but I really fell for the short sword he had in the movie. It had a wide blade for a short sword and I have wanted one of those copies for a long time.BTW one of my wife,s favorite movies,I liked it to.

I'm with you, buliwyf- that short sword he tucked into his belt got my attention more than that behemoth who wielded in that cathedral fight scene- and I took issue with the choreography of that swordfight because it only reinforces the ignorant sentiments of the 80s- that swords were these huge, unwieldy pieces of steel...I mean really, if they were truly like that, why bother, right?
Still...I loved that movie. I had no idea Oscar Kolombavitch was the designer of those swords.

That supposed clumciness with those greatswords could easily be explained away by extreme hatred the two shared for each other. They weren't thinking and they weren't defending. I can easily imagine both of them just seeing red.
After all, he doesn't show any clumsiness at all when he throws it at the bishop or when he's holding it earlier in the movie.

Yeah it never grabbed me much, it was weird but when I was young I thoughtf it looked fake and nasty, like too shiny, which was weird cause I watched it heaps when I was 10, my calling started young

Awesome movie! Rutger Hauer is great. He seems to have done several movies with swords.
Blind samurai Rutger Hauer, robot warrior Rutger Hauer . . . what else?

I dunno that anything could beat michelle pfeiffer in a cat suit with a whip, that is pretty hard to top. Except maybe monica bellucci or morena baccarin.
