Cool. Looks like mountains. Good job. Thanks. I've got bored with simple habaki. A common motif for habaki is "heavy rain", these are diagonal lines with characteristic burrs. Unfortunately, I did not find a tutorial to do it.

What’s the syringe for ? Do you solder the edge of the Habaki and then fill in the level with glue to get a good fit ?
Also, how did you make that Kashira ? It’s very nice too !!

The syringe has a professional flux that makes soldering easier. After applying the flux, I put 3 tin rods (1.5 mm in diameter) and heat it with a solder. Then I'm polishing to the right size. Is the Kashira shown a solid plate (Ie: just an end-cap for the Kashira) ?
What is the base it’s on in the step by step photos ? Just something to hold it while filing, or the something that will be part of the Kashira ?
Would you just solder the end cap to a piece of crushed / ovalized brass pipe and then cut in the slots to finish the Kashira - or is there a better way ?
I’ve seen the videos showing how to make a Kashira with a die and punch - but I’d rather not have to make a die to make 1 Kashira...

Tsuka is a full wrap without tsukamaki, so I do not need shitodome and space for the knot. this flower will be glued to a slice of exotic wood. See project: http://instagram.com/p/BuHd5OqluiS
