Hey guys just got a Danish two hander from Dark Sword armories. Got to be the best handling long sword I have ever held. But one problem I am a lefty and the suspension system is not symmetrical. Does anyone know if DSA sells left handed suspension systems?

Looking at their integrated scabbard suspensions, it should be possible to unlace the straps and mount them such they are in a left handed configuration. I dont think you need to get a whole new suspension system

I thought that too from the pictures, which is why I ordered it. The top part of the suspension system is asymmetrical, meaning you can't flip it. Also has anyone with one of these gotten a good edge on it? I have been working with my work sharp and am having trouble getting a shaving sharp edge on it. The geometry changes as you go down the blade so I have to free hand the grind as no guide will be .

Is it because one of the split ends of the suspension has a slot punched in it? If so, this is how id try getting around it. For your consideration Edit: i drew the slot on the wrong strap but it still makes sense if you imagine that the flesh side of the leather strap is the side facing you in this drawing

Wow thanks! But the issue is also that one of the split ends is way longer than the other one. Also the slit in the middle of the sword (where the bottom split end goes through is angled the wrong way. But I will take a look when I get home and see if your suggestion can be modified to work. Food for thought. Thanks.
