By the way: Hanwei produces LOTS of lemons - you just dont see them in your US of A.... all sold in Europe, especially in Germany it seems. Getting a decent sword of any Hanwei model might take two or three efforts, sometimes from different vendors. I used to work as a shipper/inspector for Hanwei swords... belive me, pleanty of lemons in the USA region too. ;-)

Hilts being loose happens on a lot of swords though. The hanwei rapiers in my club are all rattles for instance. Every company has lemons as well. For instance, again with hanwei a HT longsword blade I purchased came with a very soft blade and the tip was rolled over like a q tip. A windlass I had had a poor temper. An antique I had snapped in half when I flexed it. The gaps in windlass swords suck, but are easily fixed as well as you state. I had the hanwei shashka, and actually prefer some windlass sabres over it such as the DC'd 1906. Are they all good? No, but saying they're all bad strikes me as inaccurate. I did not say "All" of them, I said "A lot" of them. You're still making a brash and obvious bias statement against Windlass Swords. This either means again a grudge or bias based on current or previous purchases or you're simply bias based on fandom and prefer to bash other companies or products you dont favor to promote the ones you do. For example in your case Hanwei. Something that when extreme enough tends to be trolling. We've all had quality control issues from various manufactures. Its these experiences both good and bad that enrich the information flow here on the forum and make it a great place to discuss various makes and models. Being objective and critical rather than bias or agressive is the way to not only get your opinions heard but also respected. For example my experiences between Hanwei and Windlass in regards to my purchases has been the opposite to yours. Every Hanwei I've purchased has either failed or had some defect I had to remedy upon arrival. Now I'll admit I had the same bias aggressiveness towards Hanwei that you're showing Windlass back when I first joined. So maybe you just need some time to cool down and realise your problems aren't the world's and understand that your issues with Windlass, while valid are less the deciding factor on Windlass' quality control and simply just a few added numbers in the percentages pool. Because for every bad experience theres a good experience and as a result a growing pool of customer experience.

No big loss, Deal of the Day started out at 50% off which was a good deal but they knocked it down to about 20% off.

They just kind of snuck in slowy the rising cost each time a sword hit the deal. They did the same thing with the last chance items to. They used to be steeply discounted but now they're not even discounted most of the time and just there.

Greed will come back to bite you every time. First they got rid of most their dealers so we had to buy direct from them at full retail. 50% off is probably dealer cost which means they're still making a good profit even at that. Then they cut Deal of the Day back to about 20% now out totally.

I pay 100 and 2 cents. William Swiger have you tried contacting KoA to see if they're interested in them? They offered me more for the hanwei rapier I was selling than what it went for on here.
Never tried doing that regarding KOA. If I lived close to them, would load up several......
