www.gunsamerica.com/Search.aspx?Keyword=gsg%2022%20lrwww.evike.com/shop/21/839/836/a $500 9mm 1911 is very easy to learn to control, especially with weaker reloaded ammo at first, after you've spent some time with the $400 total cost of a .22lr 1911 and an Airsoft 1911. Whether or not you want to lug around the weight and bulk of a govt model is another matter. for $700, brand new, however, Ruger offers the short, much lighter, alloy framed 9mm commander variant.

I've been considering employing a gunbearer to lug around my Government Model. A gunbearer is the old school term for when hunting big game. For an every day carrier you'd want a gun caddy. Don't forget to tip generously, whether you do 9 holes, 18 holes or no holes at all.

I have been called "old school," unjustifiably.
