sharpen both ends of a 4' long spring wire tine, 4 of them and wrap a ferrule around them and the shaft. take 6 such arrows of the 9 now allowd on the alone show and remove the tines from 5 of them, converting them into blunts for use on small game and birds. Leave one for bow fishing. Have flu flu flethching on the 5, so that arrow loss and damage is greatly reduced. Keep 3 broadheads for use when following the trail of drag logs, cause you'll have lynxes, wolves bears and deer at the end of those trails. Bake some clay balls so you'll have "ammo" for the slingbow, for use on birds and shots not worthy of an arrow, like a snake, frog, or mouse. You get an extra rubber band for the slingbow, so you can have 3 of them to draw up the snare loop around a critter's neck and then the one way device prevents it loosening, or the tube can be used to set the treblehooks in fish. Dry, seasoned wood forks suffice to power the treblehooks for catching birds and small mammals, like weasets, foxes beaver, muskrat, otter, wire them to a drag log. They wont go far and the trail will be easy to follow. On vancouver, they could have made a big mortar and pestle and used that to juice 20 lbs of kelp every day, that's 1000 calories of carbs, easily had, and nobody had sense enough to harvest it.
