Anyone ever try the Hanwei Mortuary sword, I saw it today while perusing Kult of Athena. Looking for opinions on it. It may be my next sword to go along with my Clamshell Rapier and Schiavona.
So many swords , so little money.

Watcha goin' to do with it? I have a sharp, I like it. I did got a knuckle bite once when cutting but I wasn't wearing a glove. Practitioners find it a bit light for Silver bouting. www.swordforum.com/forums/showthread.php?89277-Hanwei-Practical-Mortuary-or-BackswordDespite an ill repute here regarding the Cold Steel English Backsword, I like mine. The Hanwei baskethilt backsword is supposed to be a pick of the litter but I don't own one, haven't handled it. The Hanwei Cromwell very nice, imo but I didn't spend a lot of time with it. Search "mortuary review" and there are plenty of them out there.

I'm a studying alot of Broadsword and Rapier lately. As a member of the SCA I'm looking at doing some cut and thrust. My persona is lowland Scot around the time of Silver. looking for an early modern sword to match the persona (Blunt)
