Well, the CAS/Hanwei election is for all the various lines. The other constant since beginning the poll is the percentages showing near 75% of all respondents have bought from either CAS/Hanwei or Windlass sources (or both). They have been virtually tied since the poll began.
DSA had a tick up for the Holidays, as have some others over the past week. I over estimated DSA buyers when I posted the poll, figuring they would outnumber Valiant buys.
Overall, the spread has been fairly constant. What might be most disappointing is that only 85 posters have read and participated. I do wonder how similar polls in other subsections for their own genre would do.
The three (other, custom, other) add to more than those two major sources (Windlass, CAS/Hanwei) and the Custom bracket shading Albion. I'm not too surprised to see A&A, Del Tin and DSA running close to each other but consider neither Del Tin or A&A supply a scabbard for the entry price.
The poll isn't so much about quality or quantity though, just a demographic of buys/sales. Some may well just be checking all for the heck of it but I think most are being honest about it.
Again the poll is open for a long long time and may well outlive this board. Amend your elections as needed.
Oh, in full transparency, I have never owned or purchased an Albion, Valiant, or DSA produced sword. One of my ATrims was sold through Albion but they did not produce it. I chose "other" in that case (as would my other ATrim), even though Howy of Albion put some deerskin on the grip.

To the front page for Valentines Day
Do update if you had added in a new to you category. We are still at less than 100 medievalists checking in. Del Tin is catching up!

With tax time in the US upon us, perhaps there are addition to share. With less than 100 participating, one may draw some conclusions regarding the active community.
As always, this poll is open for a long time and submissions entirely anonymous.

Just saw this now. I picked Windlass, Hanwei, Semi custom, and Custom. Those are basically all of my swords (and I've basically sold off all my Windlass and Hanwei swords except one).

Not yet. I got an ATrim 1557, and lots if custom/one offs by Driggers and local smiths. I am still very tempted by that offer. Still haven't pulled the trigger due to my wife.

Someone has changed their voting election. That's cool, and a personal matter. Since it is anonymous if one chooses too, there is no reason not to be truthful. Bringing it up again did get three new responses.

Well, tax time has come and gone. Perhaps a tax refund might reflect a recent purchase and an opportunity to update the poll. Again, meant for this section of medieval and viking swords. With just about 100 participants, we see some pretty interesting numbers.

Public service type posts will continue.
With summer quickly approaching, there may be additions to the poll. If I were buying right now, adding any to my elections would be limited to Albion or Darksword. The latter is an extremely unlikely addition but hey, one never knows.

Bringing it up again did get three new responses. Since this thread began, I've purchased four, possibly five, new swords. Inheritances are wonderful things!

I remember Kareem Abdul-Jabbar doing something somewhat similar in Steven Kings made for TV The Stand, though not NEARLY as funny.

466 votes by 111 voters
Three new voters
More frequent activity this past month has increased the number of threads. Hence bumping it up earlier than I had projected (I figured it would have been on the first page until Labor Day).
+4 more overnight, outstanding

Another way of looking at it is how small the active base is, 111 or so users.

I happened to be watching when it happened. That was then and this is the next time I happened to look. What do you interpret from that? Someone chose to change their vote on one or two vendors. No big deal, as indicated. Just a bit odd someone would retract a vote for a certain vendor. Personally, I've been known to mess with poll votes when they are not locked This entire poll could be a farce except for the fact that it is still one ip/ssid per voter, so if anything for sure, we know the number of active participants to the poll. We could then extrapolate that those represent active members visiting this area and as far as producers, they get to see their market share of the participants voting. I mentioned much earlier in the thread that I see it more as a roll call. Also that there have certainly not been 115 or so people actually posting in this section, or for that matter across SBG. Similar roll calls or polls in other sections do speak to activity levels, much more so than the stats at the bottom of the main page. How many posters have you counted? Not a challenge, just an observation and inquiry.
