No need to explain or justify, just vote honestly. You can vote for all of them, if you have bought from all of them, or one if that is your only maker/buy. As many as apply to your buys. In my case, not all of them.
Of course, stories of what, when and where can be interesting but the poll can be voted on virtually forever. So if trends go another way we can see that over the years.

Or the witless protection program I'm sure there are SOME out there who could use that That is why it is a next to anonymous poll. No one need disclose what maker/company they have bought swords from. I will say there are three elections I did not check a box for. I do hope though that voters vote honestly, as the poll will remain open for a couple of decades forward (if the board even exists then). A pity though that once voting , tough to update individual experiences without ongoing polls but there is a new acquisition thread that has survived several editions of the Sword Buying Guide forums (it is in the collections subforums). I would expect some will be easily be able to check all listed (even the two other options). Polls don't relate the entire process but they can be an interesting demographic tool. I've posted age polls a few times in the cafe and the bell curve has changed each time but really only shows the readers and posters that visit the cafe. Hopefully, this poll may show pretty quickly not just experience but preferences regarding medieval (or any, really) swords without holding a torch to anyone's feet.

nah, I was referring to something else. at work had a guy enter bldg looking for his car in pkd. took elev down then back up said he was in wrong bldg. had been following map on smartphone. on his way out I called out, phones not so smart now, huh lol. had some others step into a shutdown elev and press a button, not realizing lol
my votes are true. don't see the need to go with something that isn't

It looks like you can edit the poll as long as it is open, so feel free to stay in touch and update if you have a candidtate to add.

Nope, the number of swords per source one owns doesn't matter, just the sources they have bought from. Not vendors but the producers (sometimes the same).
With only 18 voters after the first half day, either there really aren't a lot of participants in general (including lurkers) or those not choosing to vote but the curve thus far about what I expected. Disappointed in the lack of Del Tin love but some expected parallels.

When I try the italian website of Del Tin they don't sell any swords, german stores don't sell them too and I don't buy a sword from Italy in the US. Apparently, you have never contacted them directly or ordered anything from them. Per ordini e informazioni DEL TIN ARMI ANTICHE snc Via dei Fabbri, 13 I- 33085 MANIAGO PN ITALY Tel e Fax +39 0427 72550 or on the English language pages Del Tin Armi Antiche Company is located in Maniago, Italy.
We work by order, usually we do not have any item available in stock. At present delivery time is at about 2 months by the order date.
You could ask for more informations and prices to info@deltin.net
You could order by email or by fax, do not forget to send also the address for the shipment.
We are able to quote cost of shipment when we know destination.
Payment is requested when the pieces are ready for shipment. It is suggested by fund transfer to our bank or with credit card.Seems to me the complaint has come up before but the information fairly clear and not that difficult to understand. Hey, look at that ! His wait time used to be a minimum of six months not so many years ago. Give them a call.

Yup, I took a look into their catalogue, they don't list the prices. If I have to mail to ask if they would be so kind to make a sword for me and how much it will cost I think FU at once.

Sucks being me I guess. What a sauerkraut. The US prices at KOA are fairly indicative (sans shipping and vat costs). Fulvio keeps a fairly tight rein on pricing. I guess it sucks to be you too. Does anything from the Czechs catch your eye?

Do you mean buying directly from the manufacturer, or do second hand swords or swords bought from vendors also count?

It's a horror to be me, attention span like a housefly. What did I just say?
I took a look at some czech makers sites. One (can't remember the name in the moment) makes very nice swords but has over a year waiting time, the others are not really bad, usually a bit heavy, but nothing I need to have.

Nope, the number of swords per source one owns doesn't matter, just the sources they have bought from. I've been kinda racking my brain for a couple of minutes now and just can't figure out what this data would be useful for. Help a guy out, will ya? It's gonna bug me for the rest of the day.

Am a bit confused as I have swords from four vendors not listed but the counter will only accept one. I have swords Cold Steel, Musashi, Masahiro, Kris.

As I understood this is 1 × Other. Cold Steel isn't clear for me, producer or vendor? But if you see it as a vendor there is one "Other" producer behind.

Over the years I have bought from everybody on that list - except Darksword, from whom I will never buy anything ever. Others not on that list that I have bought from - Baltimore Knife and Sword, Darkwood Armory, Castille Armory, and a whole bunch of swords from Gus Trim
